And God Was With Him!

1 Samuel 16:18(KJV)
Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the Lord is with him.
The Scriptures makes it clear that our God is the KING of Kings and LORD of Lords, He reigns and rules the earth. As children of the Most High God, we also exist to rule and reign on earth. There was a time King Saul had a mental problem after disobeying God and the servants of Saul wanted a skillful musician. David was found because he was the only person who had the qualification or the kind of musical skill they were looking for. He was cunning in playing the instrument of worship and praise. So, his attributes took him from ordinary existence to extra ordinary existence, he was moved from the wilderness to the palace because God was with him and at the frequency of skill.
David was called a man of war by the servants of Saul when there was no record of the war he had fought at that time because the Lord was with him. This was also because he already had a fighting spirit in him even when there was no war to fight. The fighting spirit is the spirit that does not give up on an issue; it is the spirit that runs after lions when others run from them. It is the spirit that lives in the realm of risk. God had David on a path that would lead to greatness, but it wasn’t an overnight journey. Likewise God wants the best for every believer, but it may be years of difficulty and pain, trials and tests, joys and sorrows as God moves you from A to B and breaks and molds your life and character until it resembles that of His Son. When you have the Spirit of God with you, what people fear is what you dare. When God sees a fighter, He releases the anointing because one key purpose of the mantle is to handle battles.
Beloved, be diligent in the development of yourself, by increasing in the knowledge of what you do, your gift, talents and potentials. That is, decide to increase your knowledge, wisdom and expertise by training. Whatever be your trade, give yourself to learning all it takes to be the best in it. Live a life of worship and God will position you in the high places of life. Today, all you need to do is to be bold and confident like David with unwavering faith in God, He will also be with you. Always develop a fighter’s spirit and make up your mind not to give up on an issue until you see a turnaround or have a breakthrough. Remember, worship was the first thing that took David from the worst of life to the best of life.
O LORD, baptize me with an unquenchable addiction to Your Presence and help me never to give up in this life in Jesus’ Name.
