Press On To Know Him!

Hosea 6:3(KJV)
Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
Today’s Scripture encourages us that our God and Father will come to us as surely as the sun will rise in the morning. The Lord desires that we love Him with a strength and commitment that won’t evaporate like the morning mist. As we grow in the knowledge of God, He is faithful to count on Him in every situation. We don’t have to give it a second thought. Full of mercy as He is, He will not permit us to continue long in captivity and oppression. NOTHING IS TOO DIFFICULT FOR GOD! The Grace of God in Christ is both the latter and the former rain and as He raised Christ from the dead, so will He revive the hearts and hopes of all that trust in Him.
It’s important that we know and walk in God’s Perfect Will at all times. There are many people who know about God, others know people who know God but very few know God for themselves. Inside the Word of God and Prayer make us to know God. Call unto Me and I will answer and show you great and mighty things(Jeremiah 33:3). The closer we get to God at the place of prayer, the more of His Will and Mind for our lives we will know. Knowing the true God therefore translates to salvation from sin, deliverance from evil and doing exploits. Daniel 11:32 says “With smooth words [of flattery and praise] he will turn to godlessness those who [are willing to] disregard the [Mosaic] covenant, but the people who [are spiritually mature and] know their God will display strength and take action [to resist].” The knowledge of God births grace and peace. It is written in 2 Peter 1:2 says “Grace and peace [that special sense of spiritual well-being] be multiplied to you in the [true, intimate] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.” In other words, the more of God we know, the more in grace and peace we walk.
Beloved, desperately desire to know God, have an intimate fellowship with Him. If you are feeling discouraged or disheartened today, if your circumstances are shouting loud that God is nowhere to be found, be encouraged because He is closer to you than you could possibly imagine. Now, with repenting heart return to the Lord for He is faithful and He will come to you as certainly as the sun rises in the morning. Maintain a very strong personal altar of consecration and relationship with God. Ensure that your prayer life, fasting life, Bible-study life are all in good standing. As surely as the dawn breaks, may God appear in every difficult situation in your life in Jesus’ Name. Remember, press on to know Him and He will respond to you as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring.
O Lord, strengthen my inner man so that I may know You and stand strong till the very end in Jesus’ Name.
