Salvation is a Free Gift!

Acts 13:26(KJV)
Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.
The word “Salvation” comes from a Greek word “soteria” which means the act of delivering from sin and saving from evil. In the New Testament, it is specially used with reference to the great deliverance from the guilt and the pollution of sin wrought out by Jesus Christ. Salvation is an act of God and it is free. It is initiated by God and sustained by God. Salvation is to be saved from sin. To be saved, we must personally accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and ask Him into our lives. When we do this, God will release the gift of the Holy Spirit who will empower our adoption as children of God. It is purely a show of mercy from the Lord to whoever accepts it. Romans 10:13 says “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” The salvation from sin that Christ brought is the greatest gift ever given by God to man.
Salvation means to be born again that is returning to the sinless origin of man at the creation. It is having incorruptible seed planted in us. It is becoming a new creature and the replacement of sinful nature with new culture of love, unity, prayer, joy, faith, power and greatness. Acts 4:12 says “There is salvation in no one else! Under all heaven there is no other name for men to call upon to save them.” Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Jesus, our Savior and Substitute, is the only medium of salvation. Salvation also means wholeness, so accepting Jesus Christ into our lives paves the way for God to perfect all things in our lives. To make Christ our Lord and Savior, we have to repent first, then allow the Lord to work in you. Let us not be like Zacchaeus who read the law and obeyed the law but was not truly saved. We all know the truth about ourselves. Philippians 2:12 says “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”
Beloved, take a moment to tell yourself the bitter truth, and God will approve you! No religious practices, human being or other name can save you but Jesus Christ. Allow the Word of God to guide you through all you do. It is when you obey the Word, that the Holy Spirit will dwell in you, for He will guide, teach, and empower you. Let not the devil convince you that serving God is a waste of time. Although the price has been paid for the sins of the whole world, only those who receive it by faith will benefit from the salvation that Jesus offers. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling, enduring to the end. Let others know that salvation is of the Lord. If you are reading this and want to give your life to Jesus Christ or want to ask God for forgiveness of sin, pray this prayer: “Lord Jesus I come before You today to make my way right with You, and be the Lord of my life. Help me Lord to fulfil Your will. Forgive me for my sins and make me a new person. Today, I have decided to follow You Lord Jesus, no turning back, forward ever and backward never.” I pray that the hold of sin is broken off you in Jesus’ Name.
O Lord. let me experience the full joy of salvation in every area of my life in Jesus’ Name.
