Stop Talking And Get To Work!

Proverbs 14:23(MSG)
Hard work always pays off; mere talk puts no bread on the table.
The easiest thing for any man or woman to do is to talk about some beautiful visions and great plans of what he desires to do. Taking steps to actualize those plans is where the real work lies. We have all heard it said “Talk is cheap!” Ecclesiastes 5:3 says ” For a dream comes through much activity, And a fool’s voice is known by his many words.” Generally speaking, a person disciplined in life will profit from their diligence, however, those who are “all talk and no action” have only themselves to blame when they become disenchanted and dissatisfied with their state in life. We can’t tell how much we can do until we start doing it. Our capabilities are revealed only when we take steps. Great men are usually men of honor, because they engage their ideas more than talk about them. It is the result you produce that gives you worth, not necessarily the many words you have to say about it. So, start taking steps, no matter how small.
The Almighty God seems to favor the principle of things starting in a small, manageable way and then growing progressively. This principle runs through almost everything in life. It is written in Zechariah 4:10 “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand.” (The seven lamps represent the eyes of the LORD that search all around the world.)” Anyone who succeeds in taking small steps is automatically qualified for big steps. Unfortunately many people want to take big steps when they have not succeeded in taking small ones. The truth is, no big dream is ever born in a big way, every big dream must first be conceived, be born as a babe, go from crawling to walking, and then start running before it will eventually fly. Do not be afraid because your beginning is small, the Almighty God will cause your latter end to be great in the Name of Jesus. Most times, people lose their great ideas to others, because they tell it too early to the wrong people. Some others ended up not engaging that great idea, because they got discouraged by those they told on the way. However, those who work the talk, describe it more with their actions, not words. Some people count success in the money they make or in the profit line but true success is in the lives we touch and in doing a job well done.
Beloved, the body of Christ needs you to work very hard to touch a life, those who will put the love of Christ into action to show the world the power of His love. Be slow to speak, careful not to waste your time on worthless talks and quick to engage productively that great idea you have. It is always good to have the big picture in the back of your mind but don’t let it stop you from taking action. Work on the small sub-goals and soon enough, you will have achieved much more then you thought possible. So, stop complaining about what you don’t have, do something with what you have! There is always something you can do, no matter how small! Your ideas will only have worth if it has proofs to show. Proverbs 12:11 says “He who works his land will have abundant food, but he who chases fantasies lacks judgment.” Remember, profit and success come only at great sacrifice. Stop talking and get to work!
O Lord, help my words to be few and give me the strength and the will to honor You in my work on earth in Jesus’ Name.
