2 Peter 3:9(MSG)
God isn’t late with his promise as some measure lateness. He is restraining himself on account of you, holding back the End because he doesn’t want anyone lost. He’s giving everyone space and time to change.
Truly our God is patient indeed! Have you ever prayed for something with such an immediate need, only to feel like you waited forever to see the answer? When we feel like God is not responding to our circumstances, it is not because of slackness, or lack of concern but He is showing His Patience with the people He so dearly loves. He is a longsuffering God! It is His longsuffering that has kept us intact till now. His heart desire is that all men should come to repentance and we all must share in this desire. He is patiently waiting for us to, by His Spirit and Word, produce the fruits of righteousness that are in us. And over the years, this patience have yielded great results of men who have gone on to turn many to the Lord.
God wants all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. We must take advantage of God’s patience and experience our victory. In humility, we must walk in the light of the Lord. Even when some continually reject the life His Grace has provided, He does not give up on them. When we mess up and go against His Word and Will, He doesn’t just turn against us and make us suffer His Wrath. It is however unfortunate that some tend to take the longsuffering of God for granted. Many have lost the opportunity of being forgiven because they failed to repent until death caught up with them.
Beloved, know that the purpose of God’s longsuffering is to give you the opportunity to repent and not be destroyed. I therefore encourage you to give your total life to Jesus Christ and stop postponing the day of your salvation, because tomorrow may be too late. Jesus is standing at the door of your heart; I encourage you to open it to Him so that He can come in with His forgiveness, salvation, healing and all-round peace. Remember, God will always keep His promises in His perfect, patient timeline. Probably you are reading this, and have not come to know the Lord Jesus, call upon His Name today. If you are not, this is an opportunity to do so. Simply say the following prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and personal Savior. Thank You, Jesus, for saving me! Now, I know I am born again!
O Lord, help me to examine my life and see where I need to change in Jesus’ Name.
*We invite you to fellowship with us tonight 11pm(GMT)/7pm(EDT)/4pm(PDT). God bless you!
