Accountable To God

Romans 14:12(KJV)

So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

Apostle Paul asserts that we are solely responsible for our words, our actions, and how we live our lives. Without a doubt, everything we do on this planet will eventually end, and we will be held accountable before God. Recognizing that we are accountable to God for our actions in life is crucial. We will be required to answer questions about our actions on the Day of Judgment when the books on our activities will be opened before us. It is our responsibility to use our gifts and talents profitably to expand the Kingdom of God. Even though we are susceptible to sin, we must be mindful that we are answerable for our actions. Our accountability extends beyond earthly organizations and includes being held accountable by our Creator. 1 Peter 4:5 says, “But they will have to give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.” Our primary assignment is to live a life honorable to the Father.

In the face of escalating anti-church sentiments, addressing common misconceptions about the church’s motives and relevance is necessary. Despite claims that the church is solely focused on monetary gain and lacks significance in modern society, it is essential to recognize the misperceptions and the impact they have. When individuals are offered the opportunity to establish a connection with God, it’s common to encounter resistance and excuses. Even among devout followers of Jesus, there exists a prevalence of excuses for not fully dedicating oneself to the service of God. Despite being fully aware of the repercussions of transgression, some continue to disregard the sanctity of divine principles. It’s not uncommon for some individuals to advocate beliefs and practices opposing those God endorsed. However, it is essential to underscore the indisputable truth that each individual will be held accountable for their actions before God. Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 says, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” In order to protect ourselves, it is crucial to remain vigilant, as our adversaries are constantly seeking opportunities to exploit our vulnerabilities. There is an ongoing battle against sin, and it is imperative to remain steadfast in our efforts to emerge victorious and claim our ultimate reward. 2 Corinthians 5:10 says, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” Therefore, let us live as unto God and run the race to win.

Beloved, on the day of judgment, it’s crucial to understand that you will stand alone without the support of loved ones, family, or friends to give an account of your life to God. Salvation is contingent upon obeying God’s word and living according to His will. While salvation is obtained through divine grace, it requires adherence to God’s commands. You are responsible for actively pursuing salvation with reverence and awe. It is paramount to remain unwavering in commitment to God and overcome any obstacles hindering obedience to the Gospel. The emphasis is on unwavering allegiance to Jesus Christ and adherence to His commandments. The decision is yours and yours alone! Use your all to advance the cause of God’s Kingdom on earth, and you will receive commendation and reward when the Master returns. Live ready and think about the eternal consequences of every action before embarking on them. Your actions and words on earth will not testify against you in Heaven in Jesus’ Name! Make your decisions by faith to honor Christ above all else. Remember, salvation is an individual matter, so don’t follow a friend or family member who is angry or dissatisfied and leave a place of worship, for each one should carry his own load.

O Lord, I depend on You for strength to lead me through this race till I see You face to face in Jesus’ Name.
