Any Man in Christ is a New Creature.

2 Corinthians 5:17(KJV)
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
God’s Word teaches us that when we receive Christ as our Lord and Savior, He gives us a new nature. He gives us His nature. Can a butterfly go back into a cocoon after it’s come out as a caterpillar? Of course not. It can’t happen. Once the caterpillar becomes a butterfly, it is a new creature and no longer a cocoon. Likewise when you become a believer, you’re like that butterfly – you come out of your cocoon and you become a new creation in Christ. The Word of God tells us that every believer is a new creation and a child of God. Being born again means becoming a new person. It is a mystery. Old things have passed away and all things become new. The way we once were passes away, and we have all the equipment we need for a brand-new way of life. The new birth experience affects our entire lifestyle and the totality of our conduct. This must be evident to all around us.
The character of this new man uproots every root of bitterness, anger, wrath, envy, hatred and the likes out of our lives. The redeemed becomes a new man serving a new Master, Jesus Christ, having parted ways with satan, we thereafter live to please God and Him alone. Galatians 2:20 says: “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” When we made Jesus our Lord and Savior, we became one with Him in the Spirit, cutting off all links that can lead to old sinful habits and develops hatred for those sins which we committed before. The Bible says in Romans 6:14, “Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace”. The new life in Christ is beautiful, refreshing, fulfilling and not comparable with anything else. Believe what God says about you, you are a new creation in Christ! 1 Peter 1:18,19 says “For as much as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things as silver or gold… but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.” The new life is a treasure greater than silver or gold. Anyone who has not tasted it should repent of their sin and be reconciled with God. Those who hold on to the old never lay hold of the new. Until the person you used to be dies, the person you are meant to be cannot live. The truth is, there is a person God has in mind for you to be. When we become Christians, we have a new life in Him. You become a royal priesthood, a peculiar people, a holy nation and the apple of God’s eye. When we put on the new man, we will be ready to put right all that have gone wrong in our lives, through the Grace of the Almighty God. We have a cause to rejoice, even when we don’t feel it. As Christians, we are no longer losers. So quit calling yourself a loser or any negative name. Now that you are in Christ, those negative names do not refer to you any longer. Accept the new name God has given you: “Winner”. Revelation 21:5 says “And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful”. Remember, a true life, a better life, a wonderful life is only found in Christ.
Beloved, confess your sins and forsake them today, and you will experience peace like never before. Maybe you find yourself in church but you are not sure if you have given your life to Christ; it is not too late. You can give your life to Jesus today. Don’t assume eternal matters. Assumption brings frustration. If you are not born again, you can say this prayer: Lord Jesus, I come before You today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I know that You died for me on the Cross to save me from sins. I confess my sins today and I ask that You come into my life. I accept You as my LORD and Savior. And from today, I will follow You, forward ever and backward never. Thank You for saving me, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
O Lord, thank You for the new life You have given me, make me a better person for Your Glory, Honor and Praise in Jesus’ Name.
