Genesis 13:14-15(KJV)
And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever.
From our anchor Scripture, we understand that what a person sees determines what they take hold of. God told Abraham that He would give him all the land he could see. The truth is what we see determines what God gives. God gave him nothing as long as Abraham saw nothing, but when he lifted his eyes and began to see, God had no choice but to provide him with what he saw. The extent of our seeing determines the measure of our receiving. To see far is to go far. That is, when we see enlargement in the eyes of our minds, we set for change. In other words, vision is critical to possession because what we picture is what we can capture. Our perspective determines our outcome in life because tenancy begins with sight. What we see is our attraction, and the picture we see is the future we pursue.
In life, every adventure begins with a visual. Therefore, we will only move toward something if we see something. Without a clear definition of destination, stagnation is inevitable. A clear vision is paramount in achieving a remarkable future. We can only reach our full potential if we have a specific goal to work towards. Our aim determines our result, and our objective determines our impact. We should emulate the steadfast lion in the woods by persistently striving to fulfill God’s purpose. Had David not pursued the vision he had about killing Goliath, Goliath would have gone on to torment the Israelites. As he sought, it changed his life and destiny(1 Samuel 17: 25-50). The origin of a true vision becomes evident to everyone, in the end, leading to ultimate success. Although the vision may appear delayed, we must continue waiting for it. Eventually, it will come to fruition if we persist in our efforts. It is written in Habakkuk 2:3, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” We must refuse to quit until we have accomplished our vision.
Beloved, determine to be a person of vision because your vision sets the pace for your possession. Stop looking at where you are; lift your eyes to where you want to be. You will only go further if you can see farther than where you are. Whatever challenge you are facing right now is just a passing phase. Do not allow it to trouble you. It doesn’t matter how hopeless your situation might be. Once you can trust God and desire a change to greatness, God will shift you into greatness. Start to picture the right things because your dominion is a function of your perspective, so wake up and begin to see far. Begin now to see what God has ordained for you. From this day, as you read from God’s Word, whatever blessing you see, your hands will handle in Jesus’ Name! God does not have a problem with what to give you. The problem is what you can see. Get up and begin to see after the order of Abraham. Today, learn to create a picture of possibilities in your heart for it to manifest and become possible in your life. Run with that vision tirelessly and sacrificially until it delivers. Remember, God fulfilled the promises when Abraham began to see things from God’s perspective.
O LORD, I ask for the grace to pursue my vision for living. Help me always to possess the vision necessary for my destination in life and the grace to realize it in Jesus’ Name.
