Matthew 7:7(KJV)
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Our anchored Scripture encourages us to ask, seek, and knock. Jesus, teaching His disciples, told them that everyone who asks receives, to the one who seeks also finds, and to the ones who knock, it shall open. Based on His Principle in this Scripture, we could do nothing without God, and God would do nothing without us asking. Matthew 6:8 tells us that God knows our needs before we ask. While God knows our needs and wants, we need to ask and not assume because assumptions bring frustration. So, as believers in Christ, we are to ask to receive, seek to find, and knock to open because asking, seeking, and knocking are the works of our faith. He always provides when we seek His Kingdom first, and He opens the door when His children obey His commandments and prays. The point here is to cultivate a relationship with God through prayer. His Word says in Jeremiah 33:3, “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Thus, every genuine asking of the believer in prayer is entitled to an answer from the Lord.
Prayer is the vital breath of Christians. Through prayer, believers can receive all their needs. Asking through prayer is a potent weapon that can do and undo things in life. When we truly desire God and long to see the Kingdom of God realized in our lives and the lives of others, when we are passionate to see His Will and His work in this world, and we ask for the things that bring Him glory and increase our closeness to Him. He is eager and willing to give us anything we ask. When we ask, we move on to exploration, which leads to discoveries, eventually to our recovery and discovery of hidden treasures. Through prayer, we unlock any challenge or circumstance because God has the keys that open every spiritual, physical, financial, and emotional door. No matter how hard the devil tries to trap us, if we get hold of the correct key, we can find our way out. There’s no situation so dark and cleverly designed by the forces of darkness that have no Kingdom Key to unlock it. The problem is that most people give up just before they get their miracle. They stop when things get hard or do not get the answer they want the first time. We are to ask in prayer until our situation changes. We don’t seek Him one time and then stop. It is written in Jeremiah 29:13 “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” We seek Him until we find Him! Answers are provoked through asking, seeking, and knocking. If we pray persistently, we will soon have testimonies to share.
Beloved, keep asking, seeking, and knocking until your situation changes. Today, submit your prayers to the Lord, have faith, and be in expectation. Always ask God in faith and the Name of Jesus; your heart desires shall come to pass. Ask according to His Will because asking contrary to the Will of God is nothing but lusting after ungodliness. There is an answer to your situation. Keep asking until you receive the key. Keep knocking on the door until it opens. Seek the face of the Lord continually, and let this be your daily pursuit. Taking this action is the most decisive action that will transform your life. Know that God is working behind the scenes. He is perfecting whatever concerns you. Don’t quit or give up! Keep on asking, seeking, and knocking! Keep on because God will answer you! Persist in prayer until He answers, for He is a prayer-answering God. Don’t stop asking until your joy is complete. All power in Heaven and on earth belongs to God; He is the Maker of all things visible and invisible, and He is only waiting to hear from you. Remember the widow in Luke 18:1-8. You don’t have a right to know if there is no desire to ask.
O Lord, empower me to ask and seek You until I see Your promises fulfilled in every area of my life in Jesus’ Name.
