Galatians 6:8(KJV)
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Life is a seed and must be lived with appreciation to the pleasure of the Giver. It is a seed that must be sown for the benefit of both humanity and Divinity. Your relationship with both God and man are seeds that will produce either a positive or negative harvest. How you live today determines where you end tomorrow. Every act is a seed that is definitely going to produce a harvest. As you live you sow seeds because living is seeding. How you live on earth determines where you end up in eternity. People are daily sowing seeds in their lives knowingly and unknowingly.
In order to avoid the wrong pursuit in life, knowing and doing what matters most in life is crucial. Many are living in a hurry and sowing seeds that will produce for them a negative harvest. They are sowing seeds that they and their generations will never recover from, seeds that will implicate their children for life. When you lie or bear false witness against your friend, lie about your age in order for you to get a job or lie against a co-worker for you to increase so that he/she can get fired, you have sown a seed that will germinate for you in this time and eternity. When you lie to or disobey your pastor, you have sown a seed that you will surely reap its harvest, you can ask Ananias and Sapphira(Acts 5:1-11) or king Saul(1 Sam 15:10-29). When you go after married man or woman, you have sown a seed that you will reap the harvest. When you choose to become an agent of the devil, you have sown a seed that you will reap now and in eternity. Learn to sow good seeds, because your good seeds will definitely produce a good harvest. When you sow good seeds of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control, you will reap a good harvest. Every time you put a smile or encourage someone, you have sown a good seed that will germinate in this time and eternity. Anytime you positively contribute to the growth of the Body of Christ, you have sown a good seed that you will reap in time and eternity.
Beloved, the content of your life determines the direction of your life, both in time and in eternity. If you do not want to end in regrets both in time and in eternity, sow into what matters most in life. Your life is a privilege that must be lived in gratitude and not taken for granted. Always be contented and appreciative of God’s goodness and kindness over your life. Make up your mind to be intimate with God avoiding the life of sin. Invest in your spiritual life, feeding your spirit with the Word of God and do all you can to maintain the atmosphere of God’s Presence. In your life here on earth always be determine to sow good seeds and your life will never remain the same.
O LORD, help me to sow good seeds in Jesus’ Name.
