James 1:4(KJV)
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
From the above Scripture, we should not get out of anything prematurely but let it do its work to become mature and well-developed as believers. Patience is a fruit of the Spirit that only develops and grows under trial. Patience is needed to journey through this world’s wilderness successfully. James believes that facing challenging situations in life is vital to developing perseverance. Whether coping with losing a loved one, struggling with addiction, or striving to achieve our goals, overcoming these obstacles will fortify our faith and make it more mature. The encouraging news is that this resilience leads to a more profound comprehension and admiration of our faith and reminds us that relying on God can enable us to navigate even the most arduous circumstances easily. Know that when God wants to make a giant oak, the process takes a hundred years, but when He wants to make a mushroom, He does it overnight. Great souls are grown through struggles and storms and seasons of suffering. Be patient with the process.
In life, it’s easy to feel frustrated and want immediate results. However, actual growth requires both time and patience. Thankfully, God plans to assist us in our journey toward maturity and fulfillment. He provides us with both sunshine and rain, enabling us to flourish and pruning us to allow for even greater productivity. God’s ultimate goal is to transform barren areas into abundant ones, bringing prosperity and abundance into our lives. There are choices before us when hard times come, but no matter how big the water yam is, it cannot do the work of a yam. In the same manner, no matter how flashy the alternative looks, it can never be as glorious as the plan of God for our lives. Choosing to be angry, discouraged, and push others away isn’t the kind of endurance God wants to develop in us. Instead, God calls us to press on toward the goal of the prize of the upward call of Him in Christ Jesus. Mostly, it is in the season of trial that we realize God’s plan and purpose, but in this current generation, no one wants to go through temptations, but without them, there is no perseverance. And without determination, there is no spiritual growth and the eternal reward that comes with it. No matter how long it takes, be patient with God, for His plan and purpose for our lives will surely come to pass. God uses a long process to develop character. Joseph waited 4,745 days to become the Prime Minister. For 14,600 days, Moses kept waiting and wandering in the wilderness. James 5:7 says, “Be patient, therefore, brothers,[a] until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains.”
Beloved, God wants us to continue in the course of action even in the face of difficulty. Never give up on life! Resist discouragement, depression, and despair; endure the battle until your change comes. Instead, be patient and wait for the Lord’s Help and timing in all situations. Be patient with God and His vision for your life. Be patient no matter what you are going through now, for surely the night will end. Every problem has an expiry date, and the night will not last forever. Your dark days will not last forever because the light is at the end of the tunnel. During the storm, in the midst of it all, be patient and wait for Him; He can never be late. Nothing is essential to be successful in the Christian life than to carry on and keep your eyes on the goal of God’s glory. Let the joy of the Lord be your strength even in adversity. My dear friend, know this, for every trial, hurt, and difficulty in your life, you’re about to be blessed beyond measure in Jesus’ Name! God makes you complete in your waiting, so be patient and continue. As your patience grows and develops, you will step into a life of great victory. You will become more experienced, skilled, valuable, wiser, robust, better, and more confident with every adversity you face and conquer. Be patient despite your delays, trials, and challenges, for you will come out as pure gold! Today, reflect on those who inspire you to remain steadfast in your tests and thank God for them. Keep moving forward, for even the snail and tortoise reached the ark by persevering!
O LORD, give me the strength I need to be patient and to carry on in Jesus’ Name.
