Genesis 13:14-15(KJV)
And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever.
From our anchor Scripture, we understand that what a person sees determines what he takes hold of. God told Abraham that He would give him all the land he could see. The truth is, what man sees determines what God gives. As long as Abraham saw nothing, God gave him nothing, but when he lifted up his eyes and began to see, God had no other choice but to give him the lands. The extent of your seeing determines the measure of your receiving. To see far is to go far. That is, when we see enlargement in the eyes of our minds, we set for change. In other words, vision is key to possession because what we picture is what we can capture. Our perspective determines our outcome in life because possession begins with sight. What we see is our attraction and the picture we see is the future we pursue.
In this life every adventure is initiated by a picture. So, when we see nothing, we move towards nothing. Without a clear definition of destination, stagnation is inevitable. There can be no great future without a clear vision. There is no impact without a target. Our aim determines our end and our target determines our impact. Just as the lion pursues its targeted prey in the forest until it captures it, we too must pursue God’s purpose for our lives until it is accomplished. Had David not pursued the vision he had about killing Goliath, Goliath would have gone on to torment the Israelites. As he pursued, it changed his life and destiny(1 Samuel 17: 25-50). The source of any genuine vision is made apparent for all to see at the end and it leads to enthronement. The vision we are running with may look as though it is being delayed but we must wait for it, for it shall surely come to pass as we keep running with it. It is written in Habakkuk 2:3 “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry”. We must refuse to quit until we have accomplished vision.
Beloved, determine to be a person of vision because it is your vision that sets the pace for your possession. Stop looking at where you are, lift up your eyes to where you want to be. Until you can see farther than where you are, you will never go further in life. Whatever challenge you are facing right now is just a passing phase. Do not allow it to trouble you. It doesn’t matter how hopeless your situation might be, once you can trust God and desire a change to greatness, God will certainly shift you into greatness. Start to picture the right things, because your dominion is a function of your perspective, so wake up and begin to see far. Begin now to see what God has ordained for you. From this day, as you read from God’s Word, whatever blessing you see, your hands will handle in Jesus’ Name! God does not have a problem with what to give you, the problem is what you can see. Get up and begin to see after the order of Abraham. Today, learn to create a picture of possibilities in your heart for it to manifest and become possible in your life. Run with that vision tirelessly and sacrificially until it delivers. Remember, it was when Abraham began to see things from God’s perspective that the promises were fulfilled.
O LORD, I ask for the grace to pursue my vision for living. help me to always possess the vision necessary for my destination in life, and the grace to realize it in Jesus’ Name.
