Exodus 23:25(KJV)
And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
From our anchored Scripture, we understand that a covenant to serve God with all our heart, soul and body is the doorway to a world of all-round happiness and fulfilment. It is clear that our service to God provokes the blessing of God on our lives. God’s blessings flow for those who serve. Serving God and the interests of His Kingdom does not only pay the best but it pays the most. That is, what it pays is incapable of being matched, equaled, or rivaled. No one serving God in truth is permitted to beg for bread. As it is written in Job 36:11 “If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.” Doing whatever the Word commands will commit God to confirm His Word any day, anytime and anywhere in any life.
There is no one who has served God wholeheartedly and walked away empty handed. Isaiah 45:19 says “I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.” Our service to God is never in vain, there are profits to be gained from serving God. We can never be at loss when we serve God wholeheartedly. If we are passionate about His service, we are not permitted to be tied down by any affliction. The Lord promises to bless our bread and water so that we can serve Him without the distraction. This means that as long as we are in God’s service, sickness, disease, affliction and any such evil shall not and cannot have dominion over us. When we serve God with every little strength in us, we do not beg Him for our healing. Because health is ours by right of the covenant through service. Zechariah was in the service of God, when his captivity of barrenness turned. Even though, he and his wife had passed the normal child-bearing age, the covenant of God through service, will never be broken. However, a person who is not interested in serving God and is begging God for blessing is like someone who is not an employee of a company but goes to the company to demand for salary at the end of the week or month.
Beloved, God is willing to deal with every burden of your life if you are willing to commit yourself to Him in quality service. Be involved in practical kingdom services through evangelism or soul winning, church service units, intercession, and giving. As you serve and wait on God for your health to improve, have your own child, or better your bread serve Him with all your time, means and life. Don’t look for God because of material things including green card. Never look for Him because you want children, have corona virus or any other sickness or disease to get healed rather serve Him with your whole heart for who He is and He will provide all these things for you. Remember, God is a jealous God and He will not allow anything to take your attention from Him. So, if you give Him your attention, He will deal with your affliction. It pays to serve the Lord and it costs to serve the devil.
O Lord, give me the grace to serve You with dedicated focus. Help me to make impact in my service to You on earth in Jesus’ Name.
