Cast all Your Cares!

Psalm 55:22(KJV)
Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
What a great alternative to worry! We have an express and authoritative assurance from God to cast all our burdens to Him only. This means that we need not get worried over anything anymore but to leave all our loads of burden on God. Thankfully, just as there are burdens, there is also One who offers to carry it for you. God is always willing to help men, but men do not always avail themselves of God’s unfailing ability to help like no other can.
David was being threatened by his enemies and he felt the emotional weight of their anger. As he processed his feelings, he found a way to rest in his troubled thoughts by casting his burden on the Lord. Some have been crushed under their burden because they prefer to bear their burdens all by themselves by worrying rather than handing them over to God. Jesus asked an interesting question about worry: “Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” (Matthew 6:27). Perhaps this can help us rethink our tendency to worry, because it suggests that it doesn’t help the situation we’re concerned about. Many rather than bring their burdens to God, they like rushing to fellow human beings who themselves need assistance. God supports us if we dare to release our problems to Him. We don’t have to take charge of every situation and try to craft the outcome that’s exhausting! God is in control of every aspect of our life. Instead of trying to do everything in our own effort, we can find rest in God.
Beloved, what is that burden of worry including coronavirus, sickness, unpaid rent, mortgages, debt or wayward child, today, release the burden to Him now and see what He will do. 1 Peter 5:7 says “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” In this life always know that the God we serve cares for you and will never fail you. Today, trust and have confidence in Him turning all your burdens to Him. When it feels like time to worry, turn to our inspired anchor Scripture today “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you. No one has come to the Lord with their burden and return the same(Luke 8:43–48). There is no greater burden-bearer than then the Lord Jesus Christ! He wants to help you carry any load you are struggling with. Here is His call to you today, in Matthew 11:28 “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
O Lord, thank You for Your Word, I turn all my cares over to You in Jesus’ Name.
