Hebrews 10:35(KJV)
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
The above Scripture admonishes us not to cast away our confidence, no matter what happens for it has a glorious and great reward. The strategy of the enemy is to continually suggest to us that God has abandoned us. However, losing trust in Christs ability to do anything and everything has several terrible spiritual implications. Many have lost confidence in the grace that earned them salvation and had begun to resort to self-righteousness through religious activities. Some do not think the Gospel is enough for them, so, they give in to demonic alternatives. They seek solutions to their problems from the devil or his agents forgetting Psalms 16:4 says: “Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god…“
As believers, we glory in tribulation, our faith will be tried as written in James 1:3-4 which says “Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” Patience with faith work together to see to it that the promises of God are fulfilled in our lives. When our patience is in place, we will always find ourselves strengthened instead of fainting when the odds are against us. It is written in 2 Timothy 3:12 “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” LET NOT OUR HEARTS BE TROUBLED, FOR AS LONG AS WE HAVE MADE THE DECISION TO LIVE GODLY LIVES IN CHRIST JESUS WE WILL BE PERSECUTED! WE WILL LOSE BOTH FAMILY MEMBERS AND FRIENDS BUT CONTINUE TO DO THE RIGHT THING BY SERVING GOD WITH OUR ALL. We must not allow persecutions to deter us from following Christ and doing His good works. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. As we continue doing what God has called us to do, we will always be empowered by the Holy Spirit, who lives in us, so that God’s Name will be glorified on this earth. Therefore, let us not give up on the calling of God on our lives, but we ought to persevere with the help of the Holy Spirit, the greater One who is in us. Let us fight the good fight, finish the race, and keep the faith. For there is laid up for us the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to us on that Day, because we have longed for His appearing!
Beloved, based your confidence on the Word of God for nothing has changed, it says exactly the same thing it said yesterday. Refuse to write yourself off because the God you serve is not limited like a man. Do not let your present circumstances force you to abandon your destiny. Nothing should make us fret, not severe persecutions, not trials of faith. Don’t give up on God for He is about to change your story. He closes fake doors so that you can experience His mega blessings. Be patient despite pressure and do His Will to receive all that he has promised you. Don’t let the delay discourage you. The Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” God wants you to trust Him completely, there is no problem He cannot resolve. Trusting Him will always bring peace. As you trust God your faith will not fail. Be ready to walk alone. Be ready to be misunderstood, accused and called names. Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 10:5 said, ‘’casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” Child of God, you must cast down every thought and imagination of sickness, poverty, frustration, discouragement, and hopelessness in every area of your life. God is about to lift you and set you on high in Jesus’ Name.
O Lord, help me to hold on to You and let my confidence in You increase, rather than diminish in Jesus’ Name.
