Christ Died For Our Sins

1 Peter 3:18 (KJV)

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit.

Today is Good Friday, an annual Christian observance to commemorate the death of Jesus Christ. Christians mark this day with solemnity and reflection, reflecting on the significance of Jesus’ sacrifice and its profound impact on our faith. Jesus’ death on the Cross of Calvary was a sacrificial act that served to atone for humanity’s sins, liberating them from the bondage of sin and the devil. This sacrificial act is considered the pinnacle of God’s love for humanity, as it paved the way for the salvation of mankind. The Scripture makes it abundantly clear that Christ died not only to redeem us from death but also to deliver us from sin and bring us close to God. Jesus Christ died to defeat the deadly consequences of sin and to make a way for us to stand in the presence of the Father and live with Him for eternity in heaven.

Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross was more than enough to atone for all of humanity’s sins, once and for all. His righteousness bridged the gap between us and God, covering our unrighteousness and paving the way toward eternal salvation. The atoning death of Jesus on the Cross of Calvary and His substitutionary work, inclusive of His Resurrection, are powerful grounds on which our release, as believers, from sin is founded. Jesus shed His precious Blood and died for our sins and the deliverance of humanity. He had to hang on the Cross to ensure that we were set free from every sin in our lives. In Christ, we do not partake of any generational sin, but we are partakers of generational blessings. In other words, Christ has taken our sins and given us His blessings. So, the Blood that matters to us now is not our blood or our parent’s blood but the Blood of Jesus Christ. And we overcame the devil by the Blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony (Rev. 12:11). 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” The moment we make Jesus Christ Lord of our lives, deliverance from the lordship of satan is our portion. There is redemption from the sin. We have authority over it in the Name of Jesus because God sent Jesus to redeem us from sin. The rest is up to us. Christ’s death and resurrection transformed Him into a new kind of life in the spiritual realm, where He was given a body of flesh and bone. This allows us to experience a similar newness of life in the spiritual realm.

Beloved, faith in the work of Christ on Calvary is the antidote to the acts of every sin. By redemption, your deliverance from sin is mandatory. Know that Christ has redeemed you from sin and brings you closer to God. You are exempted from any negative pattern that follows people in your lineage by the mystery of the Blood of Jesus Christ. The Cross came to crush the pattern. So, you need to know that no matter how wicked a native doctor or witch is, whatever they have to do against you is inferior to what Christ already did for you on Calvary. Today, rejoice because the Power of God and the Blood of Jesus are available to free you from sin. Run to God for help by becoming a born-again Christian and repent of all your sins. Surrender your life to Jesus (If you still need to do so). Make up your mind to live fully for Jesus Christ since He died for you. Live a holy life and maintain a healthy friendship with God. Abide in His Word. Constantly plead the Blood of Jesus to destroy every affliction working against your life. Enforce the victory Christ earned for you at Calvary against every affliction working against His will for your life. In the Name of Jesus, any affliction working against your life breaks now. Walk in the light of this revelation and let the insight you have received guide your moves.

O Lord, thank You for setting me free from sin by the Blood of Jesus Christ. I am unstoppable in Jesus’ Name.
