Crowned With Glory

Psalm 8:4-5 (KJV)

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou, hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

We serve a glorious God who created man in His image to live a glorious life. God created man and crowned him with glory. The concept of human greatness is central to the purpose of our creation. We are intended to rule over creation and be crowned with glory and honor. Our innate ability to dominate and not be dominated was ingrained in us by our Creator. According to the Bible, man has a distinctive relationship with God. We are created to be just slightly less than God, to express God’s life through Him. Man is meant to be the human vessel of the divine life through which the invisible God can be made visible to His creation. God intended for man to be the primary instrument for His work in the world and to display the fullness of His character and essence. In other words, our lives are for the glory of God and His pleasure. It is not for us to get puffed up with pride but that the very name of God, which we are called by, be glorified.

In God’s beautiful plan, He created us with a purpose – to be united with His beloved Son, Jesus Christ, and to participate in the same good works that Jesus did during His time on earth. Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Our lives are the masterpieces of a loving Father who planned our existence before the foundation of the world. In Christ Jesus, our spirits are now made alive through the power of the Holy Spirit, who dwells in us. That is, the quality of work that God performed in recreating us in Christ Jesus is perfect, excellent, and cannot be outdone by any other. So, we are not permitted to carry Christ in us and live in shame. We are not allowed to be connected to Christ and swallowed up in mockery. God has called us to virtue and glory and not to reproach and ridicule. God’s glory brings honor, distinction, and excellence. It also guarantees favor, leading to a life of ease and success. Therefore, the old nature subject to sin, defeat, sickness, failure, and death is dead and gone!

Beloved, be comfortable with the knowledge that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, created in the image of Him, and ordained to do the good works for the glory of God. You are to dominate creation, so accept your identity and reality in Christ, for He’s called you holy, righteous, prosperous, victorious, and more than a conqueror. God’s creative, artistic, and intelligent genius went into your making. You are His masterpiece and unique to Him. He has made you something not only productive and effective but beautiful. God created you for great things. Don’t let yourself settle for anything less than God’s best, for God doesn’t see you negatively. See yourself through God’s eyes. Today, walk in agreement with God, with His description and perception of you, for I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect (complete) it until the day of Christ Jesus. So, decide to excel in whatever you do so you can exist as a great and influential personality to the glory of God. Remember, God has crowned you with glory and honor; you are essential to His plan.

O Lord, I ask for the full manifestation of Your glory in my life. Let Your Glory swallow every contrary thing in my life and destiny in Jesus’ Name.
