For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
One definition of the word favor is an act of kindness beyond what is due or usual. From the above Scripture the favor of God travels in the direction of the obedient. As a child of God, you are meant to enjoy favor. God’s supernatural favor is not based on your personality, looks or background but on the Word of God and your relationship with Him. Enjoying supernatural favor means experiencing pleasure from a show of preferential treatment which is beyond explanation by natural laws. Once you become a child of God, opportunities in life become natural, favor becomes natural and effortless.
Favor is one of the mystery virtues of the Kingdom and it is available to every child of God. Divine favor will will distinguish you amongst many and you will stand out without being crushed. When the oil of favor is upon you, you will enjoy open heavens irrespective of your circumstances. Proverbs 8:35 says “For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord.” When you put God first and obey His commands, you will find life and it also opens the door for His favor. As you seek God daily, always know that you have an advantage. The righteous are positioned for the Blessing. Keep reminding yourself God is in control of your destiny. Psalm 84:11 says “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.” The Word of God promises that no good thing will He withhold from those who walk blamelessly before Him. Know that God is more than willing to bless His true children with favor and honor, however you must serve Him faithfully.
Beloved, be wise and seek God faithfully. As you continue to serve Him and live righteously God will bless you and surround you with favor. Don’t let the devil rob you of God’s Blessings by living in sin. Study the Word of God and maintain personal fellowship and intimacy with God in order to enjoy God’s Favor and become what He created you to be on earth. You must pray that God should envelop you with favor. With the shield of favor, you shall go places in Jesus’ Name! Step out in faith and enjoy the privileges God has prepared for you!
O Lord, arise and clothe me with the garment of favor, meet me with Your Favor everywhere I go in Jesus’ Name.
