Divine Favor Restores Us

Exodus 12:36 (KJV)

And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.

God is committed to giving His people favor. Divine favor is an exciting, free gift from God and part of our inheritance to do great and mighty exploits for God and His Kingdom. When God favors us, He will positively influence those unfavorably inclined toward us to treat us with kindness and honor. The Egyptians had been oppressive to the Israelites for over 400 years. They subjected them to forced labor, and the worst aspect of the Egyptians’ ill-treatment of the Israelites was that they did not pay them any wages, but through the ministry of Moses, the prophet, God restored their dignity. God gave the children of Israel favor in their sight marking, the beginning of the dramatic deliverance of the Israelites from Egypt. The Egyptians willingly and freely gave the Israelites all they required, and they spoiled the Egyptians. God affirmed that the Egyptians paid in arrears all they owed the Israelites. It was God’s way of providing Israel with the necessary provisions for their time in the wilderness. If God is our Friend, anyone we need help from will have no choice but to favor us because their hearts are in His Hands.

Favor is an act of kindness beyond what is due or usual. Favor is one of the mysterious virtues of the Kingdom, and it is available to the obedient and dedicated. Favor brings supernatural increase, promotion, restoration, honor, and many other benefits. Divine favor will distinguish us among many and cause us to stand out in life. Enjoying supernatural favor means experiencing pleasure from a show of preferential treatment beyond explanation by natural laws. Psalm 5:12 says, “For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.” God’s favor is nonfictional, but we need to find and know Him to access His favor. As we seek God daily, always know that we have an advantage to enjoy His Supernatural Favor daily. In other words, God’s supernatural favor is not based on our personality, looks, or background but on our relationship with Him. Psalm 102:13 says, “Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.” The Psalmist lamented the pain and agony suffered at the hands of the wicked oppressors and the heathen who had pursued and persecuted the children of God. However, he was confident the Lord would arise on behalf of His people, causing the distress and reproach of the oppressors to cease while opening the windows of heaven to pour blessings upon Zion.

Beloved, when the Lord is on your side, you will not only win a battle without a fight, but you will also gather the spoils of war, just as the Israelites gathered the wealth of the Egyptians in one night. Whatever form of oppression and suffering you may have been going through over the years, realize on this day that the set time for your favor is here. The years of pain and agony are over in your life! God will restore everything in your life that the enemy has stolen so you can live the abundant life He has promised you. God is about to remember you and make you overtake those who started much earlier than you. As the Lord takes over your battles, He will favor you and restore all that your enemies stole from you. It may appear that God has forgotten about you all these years, but your time of Divine Favor has come. Never allow worrying to have a place in your heart. It’s time to get your hopes up because God has chosen to move you up to new levels. Arise, take up faith, and move into a life of favor and breakthrough. Walk in God’s Favor today and for the rest of your life. Today, be wise and seek God faithfully. Seek His favor and stop cutting corners. Live a life that is pleasing to the One who has the heart of those meant to favor you, and you will enjoy your rights in Jesus’ Name. Remember, God is the One in control of everything; He can cause you to experience favor where you were disfavored.

O Lord, as You gave the Israelites favor in the sight of the Egyptians, give me that same favor to change level in Jesus’ Name.
