Mark 4:18-19(NKJV)
Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
From our anchored Scripture a compromise person is also an unfruitful person. Jesus shared this parable to the multitude that were gathered by the sea to hear from Him. We learn that these are the ones who though professing to follow Christ compromise their faith by craving for worldly success and desires. The cares of this world has caused many to compromise their faith in God; satan always uses it as a weapon against the children of God. When you reduce God’s Word to the standard of the world, you are in the act of compromise, which may appear profitable but the consequences are monstrous.
Compromise is a deadly sin and God does not answer to it. Matthew 6:32 says “(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.” God knows our needs, so don’t compromise to get them for in due time He will provide all our needs when we serve Him faithfully. Many have lost lives, destinies, wealth, health, marriage and jobs by compromising. We can’t follow the wrong process and end with the right product. If the process is wrong, the product is also wrong. We can’t follow or drive on the wrong side of the road and end at the right place. Prov.14:12 says “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Some complicate themselves in various things that will not end them well. Samson’s great destiny was destroyed on the lap of Delilah (Judges 16:1-31). Amnon compromised and lost his life(2 Samuel 13). Judas Iscariot lost his apostolic mantle on the table of greed (Matthew 26:14). Many Christians of today are going about asking God to help them compromise for their selfish desires. HOW CAN YOU GO TO GOD TO HONOR YOUR LIES OR PRAY TO HIM TO HELP YOU COMMIT A SIN? GOD FORBID!!! When you listen to the needs of many, there is too much water under the bridge. Psalm 66:18 says “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the LORD will not hear me:” My dear friends, foundation determines construction, if the foundation is wrong, there is no future. If the foundation is destroyed what can you do. Anybody you help in the act of compromise will blame you or lose respect for you now and in the future. Don’t deviate with those who are deviating in the name of family or friendship. They will be the same ones announcing your downfall or demise.
Beloved, never compromise in this life for any given reason or agree to what the devil says you should do, it is not worth it, it blocks doors God has for you. Never love any pastor, church elder or member, supervisor or coworker enough to follow them into error. In short don’t follow anyone into destruction or listen to anyone who will advise you to lie against your neighbor, to drink alcohol, follow someone’s wife or husband, fornicate, commit murder, gossip, invite you to a party or night club instead of church or any form of sin. Don’t let any manner of desperation make you do the wrong thing like forging document to get a visa, job, organizing fake marriage to acquire green card. God is looking for people who are made of steel to take a strong uncompromising stand for Him. Are you one of such ones, give God all the praise! Stand on God’s Promises and do not compromise your loyalty to Him, after you have suffered a little, God Himself will replenish, restore, replace and comfort you.
O LORD, give me the grace to take a stand for You and not compromise in Jesus’ Name.
