Don’t Return To Your Vomit!

2 Peter 2:22(KJV)
But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
Apostle Peter elaborates on this proverbial thought from Proverbs 26:11 which says, “Like a dog that returns to his vomit is a fool who repeats his folly.” All of us have habits. Some of them help us live wisely and some do not. Some can be downright destructive and sinful, but God has saved us from the eternal consequences of our own foolishness. God’s call to a disciplined life means you need to find ways to break away from bad habits that undermine your discipleship.
After you’ve confessed Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, you are to hold on to Him tenaciously until you see Him in glory. You are not permitted to return to your old habits. Hebrews 10:26-27 says. “If anyone sins deliberately by rejecting the Savior after knowing the truth of forgiveness, this sin is not covered by Christ’s death; there is no way to get rid of it. There will be nothing to look forward to but the terrible punishment of God’s awful anger, which will consume all his enemies.” According to this Scripture, you shall not be guiltless, if you take issue of sin lightly by continuing to live in sin. You have many believers today, who hear the Word of God and they get angry with the preacher because they want to still live in sin. Some even stop church because the truth is preached to them. They hate change and always go back to their vomit. They deliberately commit sin and talk about grace. Don’t be deceived. It’s so important that we don’t attach ourselves to the wrong things in this life. If the Lord did not spare the holy angels but threw them down to hell, did not spare the old world and destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, why would humans think He will spare anyone who has known the way of righteousness but deviate from it?
Beloved, let us purely seek after God through the gospel we read and receive each day and commit to take the message of hope to the hopeless, for in this mission we find a task to move away from our own vomit and mire. A Word To The Wise Is Enough!!! Whatever will make you deny Jesus and return back to your vomit is destroyed in the Name of Jesus. Today, examine yourself and if you have backslidden in any way, repent and return to God. If you have fallen, why not just say this prayer that will change your life so that you also will experience a lifestyle of supernatural exploits, joy and peace. “Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Personal Savior. Thank You Jesus for saving me!”
O Lord, give me the strength and wisdom to get rid of sin and to live for You for the rest of my life in Jesus Name.
