1 Thessalonians 5:24 (KJV)
Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
Apostle Paul reminds us that our calling comes from God, not from our own achievements, but through His divine will. This calling is anchored in His unwavering faithfulness, as He equips and guides us to fulfill His purpose. Our God is undeniably Faithful in all things, dependable and trustworthy. Although circumstances and challenges may attempt to suggest otherwise, the truth remains: our God is Faithful. He is just and true in fulfilling all His promises to those He has called and chosen, as well as to all who trust in His Word. His covenant of faithfulness forms the solid foundation on which our faith securely stands.1 Corinthians 1:9 says, “God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.” The call to cling to hope rests in the faithfulness of God, who promises salvation and the return of His Son, Jesus Christ. God will never fail to fulfill His promises, including granting us eternal life in Christ. It is through God’s promise that we find our unwavering hope. He is faithful and true, always upholding His Word as a perfect Father. God’s Word stands unquestionable, always right, holy, and trustworthy; it is more than enough. His covenant of faithfulness serves as the solid foundation on which all our faith securely rests.
In a world where faithfulness can often feel scarce, especially in human relationships, it is a profound comfort to know that we serve an utterly faithful God. He assures us that He will never abandon, fail, or overlook His purpose for redeeming us. God will fulfill His promises concerning our lives, as His faithfulness aligns with His instructions and commandments. His conditional promises are kept as we meet His expectations. God remembered His people during their deliverance from Egypt and did not forget the remnant during the Babylonian captivity. Through Christ’s coming, He fulfilled all the Messianic promises found in the Old Testament. In our life journey, obedience to His commandments reveals His faithfulness. We can be confident that nothing can thwart God’s plan. With His divine backing, we prevail effortlessly where others struggle. Whether He calls us to be pastors, prophets, nurses, administrators, doctors, or teachers, we will witness His faithfulness in those pursuits. When God sends us on a mission, the necessary anointing to fulfill it accompanies us. Philippians 2:13 says, “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” With Him on our side, we will prevail.
