Proverbs 12:2 (KJV)
A good man obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.
From the above Scripture, we learn that those who live a virtuous life and exhibit goodness receive favor from the Lord, while those who engage in deceitful or wicked behavior face condemnation. This serves as a powerful reminder that our actions and intentions carry consequences, and the choices we make can lead to either positive outcomes or negative repercussions. The favor of God rests upon the good man, emphasizing that living a life of virtue and adhering to God’s principles brings divine blessing. God’s favor is not based on our personality, looks, or background, but on our relationship with Him. He delights in the good man, not just for his actions, but for the heart that seeks after Him, nurturing virtues that please the Lord. The good man exemplifies righteousness and approved behavior, demonstrating discipline and humility. He places complete trust in God as his source and becomes a vessel for divine action. Aware of God’s plan, he lives with clarity and purpose, ensuring his character aligns with God’s Word. By aligning our actions with God’s precepts, we invite His favor into our lives and cultivate a fulfilling alignment with His divine will. It is written in Psalm 5:12, “For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.” It is essential to recognize that God’s favor is genuine, but we must seek and know Him. God is committed to favoring the good man, and thus, the quality of a man’s character determines the dimension of favor he enjoys.
Favor is a remarkable act of kindness that goes beyond what is expected. It is one of the mysterious virtues of the Kingdom, bestowed upon those who are obedient and dedicated. The Lord’s favor sets us apart, allowing us to shine in life. Experiencing this favor brings an unexplainable joy, a preferential treatment that transcends natural laws. When our motives are pure, our actions flow from a relationship with God rather than from self-promotion. As we seek God daily, we embrace the advantage of His Supernatural Favor. Once we become His children, opportunities flow naturally, and favor becomes effortless. While many chase after wealth, status, and material possessions, true satisfaction comes from God, making us His favorites as He generously pours His Favor upon us. Psalm 84:11 assures us: “For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.” This promise includes His Favor for those who walk blamelessly before Him. God is eager to bless His true children with favor and honor, but we must serve Him faithfully. The Lord’s Favor will bring answers to our lives that wipe away our tears.
Beloved, the favor from the Lord is a natural response to a life shaped by pure motives and humble obedience. Live with integrity, examine your intentions, and trust that God sees your heart, not just your actions. Take a bold step toward God, and He will draw near to you, blessing your journey. Be that good person, and God will surround you with favor. Embrace the belief that you are exempt from the world’s disfavor, knowing that while others may struggle, you will thrive. Continue to do what is right to experience God’s promises and goodness. He will restore all that the enemy has stolen, allowing you to live the abundant life He promises. When your intentions are pure, God’s favor naturally follows, not as a reward for cleverness but as a blessing on a life aligned with Him. Today, be wise, seek God wholeheartedly, and avoid shortcuts. Lead a life that pleases the One who holds the hearts of those who favor you, and rejection will be far from you. Seek His favor through kindness, integrity, and love for others. As you align with His will, the favor you receive is for the glorification of the One who grants it. Each day, reflect God’s goodness and shine brightly in a world that longs for His light. Remember, God condemns and opposes evil men but favors the good man.
