Fullness Of Time

Galatians 4:4-5 (KJV)

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

Our anchored Scripture highlights the impeccable timing of God’s plan. Jesus was born of a woman and made under the law, fully experiencing human life and the constraints of the law. When the moment was just right, He sent His Son into the world. This wasn’t a random event but a meticulously orchestrated moment in history, showing that God’s plans are always timely and purposeful. This shows His complete identification with humanity. It underscores the humility of Christ, who, being divine, chose to take on human nature to fulfill God’s redemptive plan. The arrival of Jesus in the “fullness of time” brings hope and assurance that God’s promises are fulfilled. Jesus’ birth under the law signifies His complete identification with humanity. He fully embraced the human condition, experiencing all its limitations and challenges, to fulfill the requirements of the law on our behalf. His sacrifice is the ultimate expression of God’s love and grace. It reminds us that God’s timing is perfect, and His plans for us are executed with precision and love. This can be a source of comfort in our own lives, knowing that God is sovereign and His timing is always right.

We frequently question why God appears slow to respond in our lives, yet it’s crucial to understand that God does not place us in a season of waiting to disappoint us. Instead, during these times, God is actively engaging with our pain and frustration, purposefully working toward our redemption, for Divine purpose operates beyond our human perception of time; they embody neither haste nor delay. God knew precisely when the perfect moment was for His Son, Jesus, to enter the world. While some may have wished for His arrival much sooner, others stubbornly refuse to recognize Jesus as the promised Messiah of Israel. He came “in the fullness of time,” perfectly aligned with God’s sovereign plan. Through Jesus’ redemptive work, we are not only set free from the bondage of the law but also adopted into God’s family. This adoption means we are now His children, with all the rights and privileges that come with this relationship. Through this divine act, all who have welcomed Christ into their lives by believing in Him as their Savior confidently stand as sons of God, equipped with His Spirit within them. We are loved, cherished, and eternally secure in His family. Ephesians 1:10 says, “That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:” God’s grand plan is to bring all things together under Christ’s authority, where everything in heaven and on earth is unified in Christ.

Beloved, God doesn’t just want to save you; He wants you wholeheartedly. He has adopted you into His family, bestowed upon you His name, and proudly claims you as His child. You are loved beyond measure and by the most important being there is. God does not merely bless you; you are a child of God. Your Father loves you deeply and unconditionally. God is in control of all things, and His plans unfold exactly as He intends. You need to submit to His loving care and allow His fullness of time to become your fullness of time as well. At the appropriate moment in your journey, as you consistently align your actions with ethical principles and moral righteousness, divine intervention will manifest in the form of support during both overt and covert challenges. This alignment will facilitate your success and enable you to achieve favorable outcomes across all your professional and personal pursuits. God is working to make you into more than you could ever hope for or imagine – the very child of the Most High God! Trust in His plans for your life, knowing that they unfold in the fullness of His perfect time. Reflect on the privilege of being adopted into His family and live out this identity with joy and gratitude. As you await your own fullness of time, remember that God’s promises to you will never be deterred. God will make things happen for you too when it is your divine time. Remember, God’s timing is always perfect and worth the wait.

O Lord, thank You for Your Word, help me to wait patiently for Your timing in all things in Jesus’ Name.
