Genesis 30:22 (KJV)
And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.
Throughout the Bible, God consistently remembers His children and answers their prayers. Rachel exemplifies this truth as she longed for a child, enduring disappointment, envy, and frustration. Her story powerfully illustrates God’s perfect timing and unwavering faithfulness. When God remembered Rachel, it was a striking demonstration of His attention and care for her prayers and desires. This pivotal moment of remembrance transformed her long-held hope into reality. When God remembers His children for good, their situations change instantly and remarkably. It is written in 1 Samuel 1:19, “And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her.” Both Rachel and Hannah placed their faith in God for the fruit of the womb despite facing scorn from the world around them. Their rivals mocked them, and even their husbands lost hope. Yet when the Lord chose to honor them after years of unjust ridicule, their testimonies became far more powerful than those who had dismissed them. God blessed Rachel and Hannah with sons like Joseph and Samuel, who trusted and served Him and made a monumental impact in their time.
It is clear from the Scripture that God never forgets His children. When He remembers, He responds swiftly to their prayers. God’s remembrance leads to immediate transformation in every circumstance. When the Bible speaks of God remembering, it does not suggest forgetfulness but highlights His unwavering nature. God cannot forget anything, especially not those He loves. This statement underscores His faithfulness and His perpetual care for us. Isaiah 49:15-16 says, “Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.” It is easier for a woman to forget her child than for God to not remember or forsake us. God holds us more valuable in His heart than our mothers clench us in their hearts. God is always there for His children no matter the circumstance or situation of life, for His steadfast love endures forever. He is the covenant-keeping God and remains a Faithful Father, Saving Strength, Shield, Provider, and Redeemer to all who call upon Him, who does not abandon the work of His Hands. He is always on time. He is not bound by human timing. He knows the end from the beginning, He does not sleep nor slumber, He can do everything, and forgetfulness is not part of His Nature. Even when we feel forgotten or overlooked, God’s awareness of our needs is constant. His promises hold true, and His timing is perfect.

God will remember you and make you overtake those who started much earlier than you. It may appear as if God has forgotten about you all these years, but your time of Divine remembrance has come. The promises of God will surely come to pass in your life in Jesus’ Name. Today, serve faithfully and celebrate the Maker of Heaven and Earth, the Alpha and Omega, who can do what is impossible.
O Lord, thank You for remembering me. Terminate every form of barrenness in my life in Jesus’ Name.
