God Is Waiting On You To Settle You

Isaiah 30:18-19(ESV)

Therefore, the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him. For a people shall dwell in Zion, in Jerusalem; you shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as he hears it, he answers you.

What a beautiful thing to know that God waits for us to settle us. Our God and Father is waiting and watching for every opportunity to run out so that He will pour out His love and mercy all over us. He is always in a posture of waiting for every opportunity to show us His compassion. He takes the time to do everything right and makes it beautiful in His time. Those who make God alone their confidence, will have comfort. God waits to be gracious to all that come to Him by faith in Christ and happy are those who wait for Him. The Bible says in Habakkuk 2:3 “For the vision [is] yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” We may well wait for God when we know that He waits for us. When He sees that we are waiting, He knows that His time has come to bless us.

Waiting on God is mostly an attitude of the heart. One that is fully aware that God is everything and we are nothing without Him. Waiting for God actually means turning to Him in prayers, trusting in His Word and Promises, living a godly life and looking up to Him, until He sends the blessings we ask for. Therefore, for our waiting to be fruitful, it has to be accompanied by holiness, faith, courage, hope, patience and service unto the Lord. It is written in Lamentations 3:25 “The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.” However, the world we currently live in is filled with the plague of impatience. Many have contracted this syndrome and have been pricked by the fastness bug. Many have been on the fast run and have ended at wrong places destroying their glorious destinies. Micah 7:7 says “Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.” It is clear from Scriptures that looking up to God requires waiting patiently on Him for response to our requests at His appointed time. So, WAIT, no matter what we are going through right now, the night will come to an end. Every problem has an expiry date and the night will not last forever. Wait on Him for strength, healing, wisdom, and opportunity. Wait on God to reveal Himself and show His amazing favor.

Beloved, I will encourage you to look up to Jesus because God is still on the Throne. Wait patiently for Him because your challenge does not dethrone God from the Throne. Wait on God, for a brighter day will dawn on you in course of time. No matter how difficult things might have been or look like presently, they will come to an end. Your dark days will not last forever, because there is light at the end of the tunnel. In the midst of the storm, in the midst of it all, wait for Him, He can never be late. Never stop asking while waiting, for your brighter day will dawn on you in the course of time. As you look up to Jesus, He will show Himself as the ever-present Help, and you will sing a new song of victory. You shall weep no more for God will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. Stand fast on God’s Word and Promises. Remember the stories of Abraham, Joseph, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, Elisabeth the wife of Zechariah and the woman with the issue of blood. Keep your faith to the end. May you be mindful of this amazing truth and always posture your heart to receive the outpouring of God’s love in Jesus’ Name. Remember, God is waiting on you to settle you in this season.

O Lord, give me the grace to wait patiently for You in all things in Jesus’ Name.
