Nahum 1:7(KJV)
The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
The Prophet Nahum articulated the intensity of God’s wrath, emphasizing the impending judgment and severe retribution that the Lord would unleash upon the city of Nineveh should they persist in their unrepentant and immoral behavior. Amid speaking judgment, our anchored Scripture gives us hope. Our God is undeniably good; He stands as our unwavering shelter amidst the storms of life. Through Christ Jesus, we confidently approach His throne of grace and mercy, knowing we will receive the help we need in our times of trouble. Complete reliance on God is essential for our journey with Him, as He has consistently proven trustworthy. To witness remarkable transformations in our lives, we must place our trust in God regardless of our circumstances. Involving Him in our life planning elevates us above the ordinary. With God’s guidance, the seemingly impossible becomes possible. His image as a protector and a source of safety provides deep comfort to His children during challenging times. Psalm 144:2 says, “My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.” The Lord protects His people, serving as our strength and stronghold where we discover refuge and peace. He recognizes those who place their trust in Him, honoring their faith by being a mighty tower in times of trouble.
In life, we are blessed to have the Almighty God, who grants us profound wisdom and unparalleled counsel. As His children, we must place our trust in Him for everything. Relying solely on our own will and abilities will inevitably lead to regret and disappointment. It’s natural to question why God allows us to face difficult and challenging times. However, in the face of life’s trials, we must recognize that true help comes exclusively from God. Let’s embrace this truth with confidence and unwavering faith. Job 13:15 says, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.” In our affliction, we must confidently make our way right before Him and trust Him, for He will undoubtedly show up to our rescue. God is unwavering in guiding those who trust Him; even during the most challenging times, He is our ultimate strength. While we may face significant suffering, we know that God is always capable of delivering us. Our task is to trust Him, regardless of our circumstances or His choices. By holding our Father’s hand in the valley, we can endure and ultimately witness the light of the mountaintop ahead. Just as Abraham trusted God and found the lamb for the sacrifice waiting on the mountaintop, we must recognize that what we seek is already provided. The challenge lies in fully trusting God. Many blessings and provisions await us only on the mountaintop of trust and obedience. As we firmly trust Him, everything comes together to create something truly remarkable!
Beloved, do not be deceived; God knows those who trust in Him and not their own ability or strength. Keep trusting in Him, and He will come and help you on the day of trouble. It pays to trust God at all times. Trust in the Lord with your all and your expectations will not be cut off. You may not understand what is happening around you, but I encourage you to hang in there, and God will certainly come through for you. Surrendering your desires to God can be difficult, and His wisdom can be hard to understand in challenging moments. However, draw near Him and trust He will guide you. Make up your mind to make God the first, the last, and final consideration of your life. There is a lot to gain from always asking God for advice. Do not lean on your understanding if you want to win in every area of your life. Never assume you know what to do or where to go; trust in God, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path. Today, forget about all your negative situations and trust Him. Begin to remember all that God has done for you in the past and praise Him like never before. As you acknowledge Him, He will direct your path and make a way in the Red Sea. Load your mind with the word of God. Think often about His Word and focus on Jesus. Involve God in your thoughts and plans, and your life will never be the same. Trust Him for direction before you take any step in life. God is still in control. Despite how distant He appears, He is right in the middle of your situation to bring you out. Remember, the enemy will attack the foundation of your trust in God by attacking your heart with the fiery arrow of doubt, but give me no chance.
O Lord, thank You for Your Word. I receive the grace to trust You always in Jesus’ Name.
