God Preserves His Saints

Psalm 97:10(KJV)

Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

We live in a world that is interpenetrated by sin or evil, but we can remove ourselves from particularly tempting situations. From our anchored Scripture, only the pure and upright who hate evil can enjoy the security of God. We are promised that if we obey Him and hate evil by turning our backs on the world, He will guard and deliver us from those who would harm us. Anybody who chooses to live a holy life will enjoy divine protection. Such are precious stones in the sight of the Lord. It is written in Psalm 91:14-15, “Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.” Loving God and hating evil is one sure weapon against experiencing destruction and calamity. Our lives are safely secured when we live under the Shadow of the Almighty. Believe it or not, a lifestyle of holiness pays excellent dividends.

The issue of hating evil is not a subject of debate for those who know that they stand to gain by living a holy life. Psalms 125:3 says, “For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.” God keeps the righteous under His protection and ensures no evil befalls them. He watches over His saints! Many never experience God’s mighty delivering power because, instead of walking closely with Him daily, they wait until danger strikes to call upon Him. That doesn’t work. Proverbs 11:19 says, “As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.” In other words, righteousness leads to life, while evil or sin leads to death. Let us note that pursuing any evil that leads to sin is not a friend but a destroyer any day and any time! This is why nothing devalues divine protection like sin. Apostle Paul also wrote in Romans 12:9 to hate what is evil. We should not only hate evil but also go to great lengths to avoid even the very appearance of evil. If we love God and others, we will hate evil and adhere to what is good and holy.

Beloved, love, and serve God with your whole heart. Walk closely with Him at all times. Be fearless and resist satan and his work. Then, when you need God to be your Deliverer, you will know you can trust Him to care for you! Endeavor to live holy through a humble life of consecration unto God, and you can be sure of divine protection because of God’s love. Today, do away with habits that are the direct opposite of a life of holiness, and you will be adequately rewarded. God is ready to deliver you from the hands of the wicked and evil people. He is the Great Deliverer, and He will deliver you. For the redeemed that fear God and live a holy life, receive a fresh baptism of Divine protection and deliverance that will take you to the realm of exploits, victory, and outstanding success in Jesus’ Name! Remember, evil is a destroyer, and its victims always end their lives in regret.

O Lord, help me love You and hate evil by not being attracted to this world and its things in Jesus’ Name.
