God Rested on the Seventh Day.

Genesis 2:1-3(KJV)
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
In the creation order, God worked for six days and rested from all His work on the seventh day. Scripture makes us to understand that God rested on the seventh day from all His work, even though He cannot by any means get tired, He rested after six days of creation to demonstrate to us the need for rest. When the Bible says God rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made, it must not be construed in the human sense of someone resting from fatigue. This cannot be because “the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth fainteth not, neither is weary” (Isaiah 40:28). We know also from Psalm 121:4 that He will not “slumber nor sleep.”
Rest is the divine blessing which God bestowed upon His creation, particularly man. Rest is also be an expression of trust or dependence. When a person ceases from all personal efforts in a troubled situation, it implies confidence in and dependence on the assistance of a higher power. Many people do not know that rest is a divine benevolence which God Himself demonstrated as vital to good life and longevity. It is also obligatory for us to observe sabbatical rest. Even the land He gave to man to inhabit must enjoy sabbatical rest (Leviticus 25:2-4). Exodus 20:11 says “For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.” In our faith and service, rest is as important as work. We can approach our day of rest with expectancy and creativity, welcoming the chance to worship and do something that feeds our souls, which will vary according to our preferences. Some children of God are not benefitting from this sabbatical ordinance because they are obsessed with the goal they have set for themselves. While it is good to set goals for yourself, at the same time, you must not set goal that makes you a sabbatical law breaker. Hebrews 4:9 says “There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.”
Beloved, rest in the Lord and patiently wait for His Salvation, because our God is the final authority in Heaven and on earth. As you accept the Lord’s invitation to come into His rest today, no matter what you are going through, you will find rest for your soul in Jesus’ Name. As a child of God, you are to lay aside all worldly business on the Lord’s day and dedicate yourselves to honor, worship and reverence God, you are to obey all He commanded you, lean on Him for guidance and strength to live right and follow Him unreservedly all your life. Remember God honors those that reverence Him. I pray that you will not labor and miss out on the fruit of your labor in Jesus’ Name. This prayer can only be answered if you respect the sabbatical law and always find a day to rest and commune with God who gives you power to make wealth.
O LORD, give me all-round rest in this seventh month and beyond in Jesus’ Name.
