God Reveals His Secrets

Amos 3:7(KJV)
Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
In today’s memory verse, the Lord has committed Himself to the principle of sharing divine information with His servants the prophet. Divine information refers to knowledge, instructions, intelligence, facts or details relating to or proceeding directly from God. There is a God in Heaven that reveals to His Children vital secrets from time to time, the wise always apply it to their benefit. 2 Peter 1:20-21 says “The main thing to keep in mind here is that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of private opinion. And why? Because it’s not something concocted in the human heart. Prophecy resulted when the Holy Spirit prompted men and women to speak God’s Word.” Information is very powerful, and the wise do not underestimate its power. It can have positive or negative impact depending on the type of information, the giver of the information and the receiver of that information. The content of a divine revelation can be the unveiling of hidden mysteries(Daniel 2:22), a notification of future events(Genesis 18:17-21, 41:25), a revelation of God’s Glory, a revelation of God’s Salvation(Luke 2:30-32) or a revelation of God’s Wrath(Romans 1:18).
Divine Revelation brings preservation. The secrets we can access determine the cover of protection we can enjoy. Irrespective of the nature of the information, it is always a privilege to have access to it because it enables us to always be one step ahead of the enemy. It gives us the privilege to know the Mind of the Almighty God. When we have access to the knowledge of God, nothing will trouble us because we are aware of those things beforehand. Lack of access to these secrets can lead to unnecessary suffering and hardship. Daniel and his companions sought the mercy of God in Heaven that they might live if the secret is revealed to them and not perish with the other wise men of Babylon. But God not only saved Daniel and his companions but all the other wise men of Babylon by revealing the secrets to Daniel. Just as Divine information made a way of escape for Daniel, it also helped the king of Israel, to escape the traps of the king of Syria. 2 Kings 6:9-10 says, “and the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down. And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice.” God used prophet Elisha to reveal the secrets to preserve the life of the king of Israel. We will be delivered from the snares of our enemies when we have access to divine information, but we must act on it like the king of Israel did.
Beloved, above anything else, desire revelation/insight from God. Decide to spend enough time in His Presence, and you will soar above all circumstances and situations. In His presence there is full disclosure of all the activities of the devil so that you live your life in constant victory. Purpose in your heart not to define yourself with the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye or the pride of life. Those that will have access to God will be people who understand the heartbeat of God. For you to access information that will guide you in this life, you need the God of Heaven. This same God has packaged all the information you need to excel in life in a book called the Bible. For example, we have been divinely informed that sinners face eternal damnation but can escape this future through repentance and acceptance of the Lordship of Jesus Christ. The wise will act on this information and escape eternal damnation but the fool will continue to say there is no such thing. The Lord will reveal a secret to you today in Jesus Name.
O Lord, remove everything hindering me from hearing from You in Jesus’ Name.
