Hebrews 6:10(AMP)
For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown for His name in ministering to [the needs of] the saints (God’s people), as you do.
It is very clear from our anchored Scripture that God can never forget our contributions to the progress of His Kingdom. That is, He will ensure that we receive proper recognition and reward for our righteous deeds. It is imperative for us to realize that it is a blessing to be used by God. When Obed-Edom accommodated the ark of God in his house, the Great Rewarder blessed him so much within three months to the envy of the rich king David(2 Samuel 6:10-12). Indeed, God rewards the righteous deeds of those who persistently hold on to Him. Apostle Paul wrote in Galatians 6:9 “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” In other words, we shall reap in due season every good or righteous work. Our God is the Greatest Giver of rewards. Ephesians 6:8 says “Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.” Our God is not partial but He is a perfect and just God who not only sees our works, but has not forgotten what we have done in our service to Him and our continuous help to others.
We serve a God who does not forsake nor forget His people. He is always there for us no matter the circumstance or situation of life. It is part of His Nature to call our deeds into remembrance for adequate compensation. It is not in the character of God to forget anything like we humans do for He is the All-knowing God. It is written in Acts 10:31 “and he said, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your acts of charity have been remembered before God [so that He is about to help you]”. God did not just remember the prayers of Cornelius but all his acts of charity and his Christian life changed forever. It was through him that the Gospel was preached to the gentiles. When God remembers His children, their situation immediately changes for the better as it happened to Cornelius. More importantly, God considers it an act of unrighteousness to forget our labor of love in His Vineyard that is why He rewarded the midwives in Egypt with houses(Exodus 1:17- 21)
Beloved, wherever you find yourself, do something useful for God and you are sure to receive divine elevation as a gift from Him in return, for He never forgets His people’s labor of love. He knows about your tears in intercession; your passion in prayer for lost souls. He’s aware of all your financial contributions to the spread of the Gospel, and your personal evangelical efforts to win souls for Christ. He’s aware of all the sacrifices you’ve made for His Name’s sake; the time, money, family, friends and relationships you gave up for Him! He hasn’t forgotten, He will adequately compensate you. Today, serve Him with the best of your ability, He will not forget your efforts when you diligently serve Him by serving others. Do not be troubled or disheartened rather be encouraged, and keep up your good work for God sees your work on His behalf. Don’t let the delay discourage you. Put patience to work for the Word of God guarantees your reward. I will end with Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men,”
O Lord, with an unwavering commitment I give my all for Your Kingdom advancement in Jesus’ Name.
