Philippians 1:6(KJV)
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
Being confident means be assured and stop having doubt about what the future holds for you. It means let there be no shred of doubt in you concerning this. Philippians 1:6 assures us of the commitment of Jesus to us as children of God. This commitment is not because of what we did but because of who He is. He is Faithful and loves us unconditionally. The point is that He is Perfect and has a plan for us that is perfect. Paul says that God who saved us, has started a good work in us, which He is committed to perfect and bring it to full completion in us. He is committed to our success in life. He is committed to our wellbeing, children and everything that concerns our lives.
We are complete in Him who is the head of all principality and power. God has placed potential inside you, but just having potential is not enough. It takes time and a willingness to let God work in your life to develop your potential. Being a Christian is more than just an immediate conversion. It is a daily process whereby you grow to be more and more like Christ. God works daily in your life to bring you to spiritual maturity in Him to make a difference in the world and enjoy an amazing life as you learn to be led by the Holy Spirit. The key is that we have to stay in agreement with God. Psalm 138:8 says “The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.” God has purposes to fulfil in you and through you, He will do all that is necessary to make you succeed. Remember, Genesis 18:14 says, “Is there anything too hard for the Lord?” No, nothing is impossible when we put our faith and trust in Him.
Beloved, have confidence in Christ, because you are complete in Him. No matter how bad it is, be confident that it would turn around for your good. I see you rising! Your story will not end in shame. Be confident in Him who had begun the good work. He started it and will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Don’t get discouraged, for surely God is going to finish what He started! No matter how many regrets you carry or how distant God seems to you, know that He is still there, gently guiding your out of your mess into His blessing and perfection. He is a Faithful God, and He has something unmatched, unparalleled coming your way: favor, breakthroughs, restoration like you haven’t seen before! Today, keep standing, keep believing and keep hoping because the Bible says God will perfect everything that concerns your life. Walk around with this boldness and assurance that Jesus is committed to you He will never leave you nor forsake you.
O LORD, thank You for Your Word, I ask that You perfect and complete every work in my life for your Glory in Jesus’ Name.
