God’s Everlasting Love

Jeremiah 31:3(KJV)
The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
The God that we serve is a Father who is full of love, compassion and mercy for all of His children. His love for His children immeasurably surpasses the love that an earthly father has for his children. The total beauty of the God’s love cannot be understood until you have experienced it, no one can describe its wonders to you, His lovingkindness and compassion are from age to age. If it hadn’t been for the love of God for us the enemy would have consumed us. God’s love for you is everlasting. Zephaniah 3:17 says “The LORD your God is among you; He is mighty to save. He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you with His love; He will rejoice over you with singing.” The promise of God’s love is real, sure and positive!
Understand that at the time God was speaking in our anchor Scripture, Jerusalem had been ravaged. Israel had been destroyed by Babylon. They were scattered all over the place. God came to the captives and He said, listen, I love you with the everlasting love. God gives assurance to His people that He will again take them into covenant relationship with Him, settle them again and they shall have a joyful return to their land after many years of captivity. God promised them restoration because of His love. Maybe you are currently going through trials, temptations, disappointments, afflictions or hardships however, always remind yourself of today’s anchor Scripture “I have loved thee with an everlasting love.” In other words, don’t say your end has come because God loves you and He will do beyond your expectations. Never question God’s great love, for it is unchangeable as His Holiness. Hosea 11:4 says “I led Israel along with my ropes of kindness and love. I lifted the yoke from his neck, and I myself stooped to feed him.”
Beloved know that the love of God for you is unlimited and unending! Today God has opened His arms and is inviting you to experience rest in His love. Apostle Paul writes in Romans 8:35-39 “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our LORD.” Remember, the Father’s love for you is forever, unending, and eternal.
O LORD, help me to receive the life transforming gift of Your everlasting love for my life in Jesus’ Name.
