God’s Everlasting Love

Jeremiah 31:3(KJV)

The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

The God we serve is a Father full of love, compassion, and mercy for all His children. When God spoke in our anchor Scripture, Jerusalem was under destruction by Babylon. Israel was scattered all over the place. God came to the captives and said, listen, “I love you with everlasting love.” God assured His people that He would again take them into a covenant relationship with Him, settle them again, and they shall have a happy return to their land after many years of captivity. God promised them restoration because of His love. It is impossible to compare God’s love for His children with the love our earthly fathers have for us. There is no way of fully comprehending the beauty of God’s love until we have experienced it; no one can describe its wonders to us. His lovingkindness and compassion are from age to age. If it hadn’t been for the love of God for us, the enemy would have consumed us. God’s love for us is everlasting. Zephaniah 3:17 says, “The LORD your God is among you; He is mighty to save. He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you with His love; He will rejoice over you with singing.” The promise of God’s love is real, sure, and incontestable!

The promises of God’s unfailing and everlasting love exist or appear throughout Scripture. The Bible is a revelation that God is love, and love is the bedrock of all He does. His love is too deep, intense, and pure to be measured. The love of our Heavenly Father is steadfast and immovable. His love for us cannot be shaken or removed. It is comfortable to know that no matter what is happening in our lives and around us, God’s love will never change or cease! He loves us the same as yesterday, today, and forever. With Him, there is no variableness, no shadow of turning His back on us. Maybe we are going through trials, temptations, disappointments, afflictions, or hardships; however, we must remind ourselves of today’s anchor Scripture “I have loved thee with an everlasting love.” So, never question God’s great love, for it is unchangeable as His Holiness. Apostle Paul writes that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our LORD. Hosea 11:4 says, “I led Israel along with my ropes of kindness and love. I lifted the yoke from his neck, and I myself stooped to feed him.” It is a settled matter that God is the Good Shepherd, kind and full of love. The Good Shepherd provides for His children and fills us to overflowing. He meets and surpasses all our needs and expectations because He loves us.

Beloved, know that the love of God for you is unlimited and unending! God’s love for you is unconditional; it is blood-bought and iron-clad. His compassion for you is surer than the very ground you walk on. This love of God is immeasurable, unmistakable, and infinite! No matter what you’ve heard or what you may think about yourself today, you are His most prized possession. Nothing can separate you from God’s all-consuming, ever-present love for you! His love for you is more than your greatest fear. So, when that most dreaded fear confronts you, hold on to His promise that He will not leave or forsake you. Always remind yourself that God has loved you with an everlasting love. Don’t say your end has come because God loves you, and He will do beyond your expectations. Dwell continuously in His Presence and know His peace and compassion are still with you. God will never let you go; not today, tomorrow, not forever. He holds your world in His hands; regardless of what may come your way, God’s love is here to stay forever. Live today in light of God’s love, and let His compassion fill your heart with joy and steadfastness through any circumstance. Today God has opened His arms and is inviting you to experience rest in His love. Remember, the Father’s love for you is forever, unending, and eternal.

O LORD, I receive the life-transforming gift of Your everlasting love for my life in Jesus’ Name.
