God’s Steadfast Love

Isaiah 54:10(ESV)

For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

From our anchored Scripture, the prophet Isaiah says that the love of God will remain an unmovable foundation, and His supernatural peace will be undisturbed, even when the world is crumbling apart with darkness, mountains shaking, and hills being removed. In other words, the love of our Heavenly Father is steadfast and immovable. His love for us cannot be shaken or removed. It is comfortable to know that no matter what is happening in our lives and around us, God’s love will never change or cease! He loves us the same as yesterday, today, and forever. With Him, there is no variableness, no shadow of turning His back on us. The promises of the unfailing and everlasting nature of God’s love exist or appear throughout Scripture. The Bible is a revelation that God is love, and love is the bedrock of all He does. His love is too deep, intense, and pure to be measured. Romans 8:38-39 says, “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Apostle Paul lists some of the most dreadful things we encounter in life, and He is convinced that none of these dreaded things and anything else in the world can separate us from the love of God in Jesus Christ.

The God we serve is a Father full of love, compassion, and mercy for all His children. God’s love for us seeks our well-being, warns us to prevent harm, disciplines us to create more growth, and sometimes withholds what we think is good to give something better. It is written in Psalm 103:11,13, “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.” His unconditional love for us immeasurably surpasses any love our earthly fathers have for their children. The beauty of the love of God is beyond human understanding. Until we have experienced it, no one can describe its wonders to us. His loving-kindness and compassion are from age to age. Nothing can ever drive a wedge between the children of God and their heavenly Father. No matter where we go, what we do, who we face, or what we fear, God will always be there with us and for us in all of His great love. We can walk securely knowing this truth. If it hadn’t been for the love of God for us, the enemy would have consumed us. To discover the love of God is to know the secret of fulfillment, His love for us is everlasting.

Beloved, know that the love of God for you is unlimited and endless; His love never ceases. His great love for you is unchangeable as His Holiness. God’s love for you is unconditional; it is blood-bought and iron-clad. His compassion for you is surer than the very ground you walk on. This love of God is immeasurable, unmistakable, and infinite! No matter what you’ve heard or what you may think about yourself today, you are His most prized possession. Nothing can separate you from God’s all-consuming, ever-present love for you! God’s love is more than your greatest fear. So, when that most dreaded fear confronts you, hold on to His promise that He will not leave or forsake you. Always remind yourself that God has loved you with everlasting love. In other words, don’t say your end has come because God loves you, and He will do beyond your expectations. Dwell continuously in His presence and know His peace and compassion are still with you. God will never let you go; not today, tomorrow, not forever. He holds your world in His hands; regardless of what may come your way, God’s love is here to stay forever. Live today in light of God’s love, and let His compassion fill your heart with joy and steadfastness through any circumstance.

O Lord, thank You for Your unfailing, unshaken, and unmovable love. I receive Your everlasting love for my life in Jesus’ Name.
