Psalm 119:160(KJV)
Thy Word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth forever.
Our anchor Scripture makes us understand that every Word of God is true from the beginning. The Scriptures are unquestionably God-breathed, inspired by Him, and guide how to live a life that pleases Him. They are eternal and unchanging, and God has elevated His Word above His Name and ensures the Word is fulfilled. The Word of God is tried and proven to be true. As believers, trusting in God’s Word is not negotiable. In His Word, there is life and liberty. Psalm 18:30 says, “As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.” Trusting in the Word of God requires that we abandon everything we have ever believed about what brings happiness and fulfillment, accepting that God knows what is best for our lives. Isaiah 55:11 says, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Any Word spoken by God to us is ordained for fulfillment because it is prophetic, and His integrity backs it up. The Word of God is unshakable, surer than our experiences. Have faith in God’s Word and accept that whatever He says is true as we obey accordingly.
It makes no difference what we feel, hear, see, or what our experiences have been because His Word will always be a light to us if we trust and obey. The Bible says in 2 Peter 1:19, “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts.” In life, there’s something more trustworthy than our experience or the pain we may be going through, and it’s the Word of God. Trusting in God’s Word is trusting in the Almighty God Himself because His Way is Perfect, and His Word is proven to be True. It is written, in John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” So, taking Him at His Word is knowing that His Word will always accomplish all He wants it to and prosper everywhere He sends it. In other words, God’s Word keeps our hope alive. As we read and obey, the Word will make us rise like lions, building our faith to face battle and overcome the storms of life. When we trust His Word, He becomes our Shield and Fortress for our protection.
Beloved, the truth is God’s Word is true from the first Word to the last, and it’s eternal, so hold onto it. Let the truths in God’s Word speak to you and guide your thinking, and as you do, you’ll realize that God has an answer for everything you face in life. Trust God and His Word even in times of difficulty, and He will comfort you on every side. When you believe the report of the Lord, then His arm will be revealed in your direction. It’s so sweet to trust in Jesus. Despite Peter’s explanation that he had toiled all night and caught nothing, he still said, at thy Word(Luke 5:1-7). His net was so full of fish as he obeyed the Word that it began to break! May you receive His abundance as you trust and obey the Word of God in Jesus’ Name. Make up your mind to build your hope in God by studying the Word of God continually. Trust in the God of hope, knowing He is at work in your life. No matter what the devil tries to tell you, refuse to let go of the Word. Holding on to God’s promise is a great challenge, especially when you cannot comprehend His Way, but His Way is always better than yours. Anyone who thinks otherwise is unwise. Today, follow the One who declares, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” Remember, God will never fail those who trust Him and obey His Word.
O Lord, thank You for Your Word. Help me to trust Your Perfect Way for my life in Jesus’ Name.
