Hold on to Your Faith.

1 Timothy 1:18-19(KJV)
This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare; Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
Our anchored Scripture admonishes us to hold on to the faith and have a good conscience. Apostle Paul told Timothy to hold faith always, everywhere he goes and never put it away like others, so he won’t end up shipwrecked. The very day we received Christ as our Lord and Personal Savior we are called to fight the good fight of faith. The reason why this fight is critical is because God has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into His Kingdom. In His Kingdom, we have victory in Christ Jesus! For we are of God and have overcome the dominion of darkness, because He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. The One in us is God’s Spirit, the Holy Spirit, and when we depend on Him we will always overcome the devil in the world.
In order to stay in God’s victory, we have to fight the good fight of faith and have a good conscience. And we know faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Thus, the victory of faith is allowing God’s Word to dwell in us richly, and doing what the Word tells us in every situation with a pure conscience, which is the voice of our new spirit. When we know what belongs to us in Christ Jesus, we can stand our ground based on the Word of God and always win. Yes, that is why we have to be sober and vigilant; because our adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. But we must resist him, and be steadfast in the faith! In Christ we have authority over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt us!
Beloved, you need faith to exceed boundaries, even when the odds are against you and the road seems so rough and there is no help in sight. When hope seems to be fading away, with your faith, based on God’s Word, everything is bound to work together for your good. Your faith will make every crooked way straight and turn trials into testimonies for you. This is why you should always hold onto your faith. Never put it away. Arm yourself with faith always and you will live daily in miracles.
O God, help me to hold on to my faith and have a good conscience in this season in Jesus’ Name.
