I Am Strong

Joel 3:10(KJV)

Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.

The Lord promises in His Word that He will strengthen us. He admonishes the weak to speak a language of strength instead of weakness or defeat. The Scripture says, despite our circumstances, we are to say, “I AM strong!” When we are sick and weak or under pressure, be patient and have the courage to say we are strong because once our mouth announces our setbacks, ruins, difficulties and infirmities, we are already defeated. In that very moment or circumstance, we can claim, by our faith, the provision of God to us: “I AM STRONG!” Our strength is not in our abilities or power but in Christ Jesus, who lives within us by the power of the Holy Spirit. When the weak say, “I am strong,” amazing things are possible. Ephesians 6:10 says, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” Be strengthened in any situation or circumstance because the Spirit of God is powerful and mighty within us. Thus, we can overcome or control our weaknesses through God’s strength.

As Christians, we remain undefeated until we have used our mouths to defeat ourselves. Saying negative things cancels the promises of God concerning our lives. Although we may be weak, we can identify ourselves with strength until we become strong. By our declarations, we literally provoke the power of God that allows us to become all that we have affirmed, as well as to create miracles. It is vital to understand that words are prophecies, every time we speak, we are prophesying into our future. If our words are always negative, expect the negative to happen to us because every word we bring out will locate the equivalent spirit. When we speak weakness, we move the spirit of weakness into action. Likewise, when we talk about strength, we also provoke the quickening Spirit of God, the spirit of strength, into action despite what is happening. Before David fought Goliath, he talked his way into victory. As he ran toward Goliath, he was still talking because he understood the power of positive confession. The ability to use words is a unique and powerful gift from God, and until we treasure our words, we do not value our lives. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”

Beloved, whatever is not your intention, destination, or expectation must never be your utterance. Never speak of your condition but say your conviction. Make positive declarations always and never dignify infirmity with attention. Let not the poor begin to see their poverty, nor the sick broadcast of their sickness and disease. Your body may be weak now; x-rays and scans may support it, but the truth is that Jesus heals, restores, and strengthens. You don’t just have to know you’re strong, but you should be saying and confessing it. Your freedom is in your mouth, so proclaim it to be free. There is hope, and your future is bright. Your tomorrow will be better and more exceptional than your today. Instead of crying out in desperation, take a stand of faith. Sing and rejoice and praise God for empowering and equipping you to do mighty things. Be of good cheer, and you can be sure God will bring you through every weakness. Choose to declare what God says. As you align your words with His Word, you’re setting your future for success. You’re preparing your way for victory, and you will fulfill the destiny He has planned for you! You are stronger than you realize. So, rise up, child of God, and BE STRONG! Remember, you can do all things through Jesus Christ, who strengthens you.

O Lord, help me to maintain a positive confession. Today, I choose to be strong in Jesus’ Name.
