Jesus Finished It!

John 19:30(KJV)

When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head and gave up the ghost.

Interestingly, the last thing Jesus said on the cross was, “it is finished.” He triumphantly cried loudly as a declaration of victory over the devil and his agents. It looked like the end, and all was over, but He was basically saying to His Father, “I have done My part by completely fulfilling all the righteous requirements for the salvation of mankind.” Even though it looked like the end in truth, it was only the beginning for God to finish what He had started in humanity. To pay the price for our redemption, our Lord was sorely beaten, rejected, mocked, and above all, nailed to the cross to fulfill the written word concerning Him. John 17:4 says, “I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.” Finished here means, Completed, Ended, Done, or Perfected. In other words, Jesus glorified the Father by completing the work given to Him by the Father to do. He voluntarily chose to sacrifice Himself, knowing His death would pay the penalty for our sins and create a way for us to become right with God and have a relationship with Him.

At the cross, the Great Exchange took place for every believer to live a victorious and peaceful life. As a result, the eternal debt owed for the sin was paid in full. God the Father looked upon His Perfect, Precious, and Priceless Son as if He had lived a filthy, detestable, sin-stained life in exchange for the sins of humanity. Genesis 3:15 says, “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” God kept His Promise to crush satan’s head through the bruising of His Son. Isaiah 53:10 says, “Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.”  Therefore, Jesus died on the cross to restore us to God. The Blood of Jesus brought reconciliation between God and man again. And now, through the Blood of Jesus Christ, we have full access to God the Father.

Beloved, the blessings of Calvary have given us victory over sin, the devil, and death. JESUS died for you so that you can live a victorious life. So, when it looks dark in your life, and things aren’t going your way, dare to declare with faith just like Jesus. “It is finished.” Every affliction, plot, and plan of the enemy, difficulty, sickness, demonic utterance, ancestral and generational curses, barrenness, marital frustration, premature death, near-success syndrome, and all manner of satanic attack is finished forever in your life. Speak victory over every circumstance of your life and trust God, who is Faithful, to complete what He’s started in your life. The devil’s reign of terror over your life and family ends now in Jesus’ Name! You can only access the blessings of the Victory at Calvary by surrendering your life to Jesus Christ. Embracing this truth by giving your life to Jesus is more significant. For there is no salvation in no one else but Jesus Christ(Acts 4:12). Today, turn to the One who paid your debt of sin on your behalf and confess your sins to Him for your redemption. Remember, live a life that pleases God for IT…IS…FINISHED!

O Lord, I thank You for the Blood. By the Blood of Jesus, I connect to my blessings, healings, and breakthroughs today and forever in Jesus’ Mighty Name.
