1 Peter 2:24(KJV)
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
The will of God is for us to live sickness and disease-free. Deuteronomy 7:15 says, “And the Lord will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee……” From our anchor Scripture, we discover that the day Jesus died, He did not only pay the price for our sins; He also paid for our sicknesses. Jesus came to the earth to buy back everything that Adam lost. He bore our sicknesses, diseases, and infirmities on the cross so that we enjoy divine healing and health. That is to say, Jesus has paid the price for us on the cross of Calvary so that we can be free from all afflictions. When He suffered at the hands of the guards, He paid the price for our divine health. Jesus secured our good health with each stripe of flesh torn from His back. So, we can’t be enslaved again by any sickness or disease. We are sons and daughters, heirs and joint heirs with Christ. If we are joint heirs with Christ, then what is His is ours. Therefore, we do not consider ourselves sick trying to get well, but rather as Jesus’ already healed who the devil is trying to make sick. The provision for our healing, physically and spiritually, is made by the sufferings of Jesus Christ. Christ has triumphed over sicknesses for us, so no affliction cannot remain in our bodies. There is total restoration of all rights and privileges once we receive Him as Lord of our lives. Christ is the solution to any depression that we may be going through. Our focus on Christ delivers us from sorrow and depression.
Throughout the Gospel, there are several examples where Jesus healed the people of their affliction. Luke 6:19 says, “Everyone tried to touch him because healing power went out from him, and he healed everyone.” Healing Power was and is still written all over Him, so touch Him and be healed. The Bible says in John 10:10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.” Jesus does not take anything from us; He came to give us in excess everything we will ever need in life. Jesus demonstrated the reality of His ministry as the Great Physician. Acts 10:38 sums it up “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” As believers, let us stop nursing sickness because Jesus has paid the price for our total health package in redemption. Every disease was laid on Jesus at the cross, so by reason of double jeopardy, we cannot carry that affliction again.
Beloved, you cannot have Jesus Christ and be sick. It is about time you believe the truth of God’s Word about your healing: By His stripes, your good health is sure. Refuse to be sick, and always make bold and positive declarations concerning your good health. As a child of the Almighty God, sickness is not your portion because the bread of healing is for the children of God(Matt 15:22-29). Jesus has paid the price; you have a right to be healed and live in divine health. Divine health is part of your salvation package, so accept nothing less. Once you receive Him as Lord of your life, all the rights and privileges God originally intended you to have (including health and prosperity) receive immediate attention. In the Name of Jesus, I command every sickness, disease, and infirmity to leave your body right now. Now everything dead comes alive, from your head to your toes. It begins to function in the perfection to which God has created it. Today, surrender your sickness to the Great Physician in faith, and you will receive your healing and freedom. Make demand by speaking the Word of God in faith that sickness and disease leave you now in the Name of Jesus. Refuse to back off that demand. Resist the devil with all you have got. Jesus finished it on the cross. It means your healing is complete. Remember, you are not permitted to go through what others go through.
O Lord, I thank You for Your sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary and for carrying away my sicknesses and diseases. I declare my total freedom from every affliction. I reject whatever the devil has put in my body in Jesus’ Name.
