Judge According To The Truth

Proverbs 17:15 (MSG)

Whitewashing bad people and throwing mud on good people are equally abhorrent to GOD.

Our anchor Scripture for today clearly says that God dislikes those who acquit the guilty and condemn the innocent. The wicked men are defended, vindicated, and even protected, whereas the good men are destroyed, rebuked, and punished. It is a fact that society now applauds or ignores ungodly acts – even in the Church. The religious leaders and the political appointee of the greatest nation on earth cooperated to justify the seditious murderer Barabbas and condemn the innocent and just Jesus Christ. The same is happening today; it has become very routine these days that many shy away from speaking against ungodly actions for fear of being criticized by the world. However, the God we serve is fair, impartial, and just. He is the supreme and righteous Judge of the whole earth. The living and true God of Heaven has commandments, and He expects all humanity to obey them and enforce them. To Him, judgment is the acquittal of good and condemnation of evil(Deut 25:1). In matters of judgment and relationships, the wicked should be despised and rejected, and the righteous should be loved and received.

The ability to stand against evil is one of the many virtues gradually disappearing from the current world. The call of God to us today is to stand up against evil, first within the Church, before taking the battle to the gates of hell. Churches of this generation have diluted and watered-down Biblical standards where almost anything is allowed and tolerated, or even defended and protected rather than God’s truth of holiness and judgment. Many have backslidden to the point of disrespecting God and sacred things. They justify the wicked and condemn the righteous, daring God and poking fun at His judgment. In their foolishness, they consider themselves wise while they increasingly abandon God. No wonder Isaiah 5:20 says, “Doom to you who call evil good and good evil, Who put darkness in place of light and light in place of darkness, Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!” The Scripture speaks as heavily to this present culture as it did in Isaiah’s day. The society we currently live in is so corrupt that many regards good as evil and evil as good. Criminals now have more rights than do victims. Sodomites are protected. People are not only sinning, but they plan wickedness with all creativity. The media and the key personalities and institutions are promoting sin in various forms. People have increasingly become lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy. They are heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. For all these, God pronounced doom on them.

Beloved, speak against those who consider evil as good and good as evil. Help those who heard it to understand that this is wrong. Do not ignore it because not saying anything will have the same result as accepting it. You cannot be neutral, for neutrality is to reject the Bible and rebellion against God, for He and the Bible are not neutral. Condemn foolishness and wickedness and exalt wisdom and righteousness. Sinners are despised, and good men are honored (Psalm 15:4; 31:6). Reject this posturing generation and its compromise. Take a stand against this wickedness. Never be in support of respecting people to the extent of endorsing their wrongdoings or lie to get their favor. God did declare this woe to the people of Isaiah’s time, and He is still saying the same judgment to those today who do the same. Be careful and study His Word so that you do not fall into this error yourself. Remember, a day is coming in which all judgment will be according to truth, where the righteous will receive eternal life in heaven, and the wicked will be cast into hell forever.

O LORD, give me the grace to be the light of the world. Today, help me stand against every form of evil in our world in Jesus’ Name.
