Keep Asking

Luke 11:9-10(ESV)

And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

Our anchored Scripture encourages us to ask, seek, and knock. Jesus, teaching His disciples, told them that everyone who asks receives, to the one who seeks also finds, and to the ones who knock, it shall open. Based on His Principle in this Scripture, we could do nothing without God, and God would do nothing without us asking. Matthew 6:8 tells us that God knows our needs before we ask. While God knows our needs and wants, we need to ask and not assume because assumptions bring frustration. So, as believers in Christ, we are to call on to receive, seek to find, and knock to open because asking, seeking, and knocking are the works of faith. He always provides when we first seek His Kingdom, and He opens the door when His children obey His commandments and pray. The point here is to cultivate a relationship with God through prayer. His Word says in Jeremiah 33:3, “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” Thus, every genuine asking of the believer in prayer is entitled to an answer from the Lord

Prayer is the vital breath of Christians. Through prayer, believers can receive all their needs. Asking through prayer is a potent weapon that can do and undo things in our lives. When we truly desire God and long to see the Kingdom of God realized in our lives and in the lives of others, when we are passionate to see His Will and His work in this world, and we ask for the things that bring Him glory and increase our closeness to Him, He is eager and willing to give us anything we ask. From asking, we move into exploration, which leads us to discoveries and eventually to the recovery of ourselves and hidden treasures around us. Through prayer, we unlock any challenge or circumstance because God has the keys that open every spiritually, physically, financially and emotionally door. No matter how hard the devil tries to trap us, if we get hold of the correct key, we can find our way out. There’s no situation so dark and cleverly designed by the forces of darkness that has no Kingdom Key to unlock it. The problem is that most people give up just before they get their miracle. They stop when things get hard or do not get the answer, they want the first time. We are to ask in prayer until our situation changes. We don’t seek Him one time and then stop. It is written in Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” We seek Him until we have the promise! Answers are provoked through asking, seeking, and knocking. If we pray persistently, soon we will have testimonies to share.

Beloved, keep asking, seeking, and knocking until your situation changes. Today, submit your prayers to the Lord, have faith, and be in expectation. Always ask God in faith and in the Name of Jesus, and your desires shall come to pass in your life. Ask according to His Will because asking contrary to the Will of God is nothing but lusting after ungodliness. There is an answer to your situation. Keep asking until you receive the key. Keep knocking on the door until it opens. Seek the face of the Lord continually and let this be your daily pursuit. In doing this, you are engaging in the most decisive activity that will transform your life. Know that God is working behind the scenes, and He is perfecting whatever concerns you. Don’t quit or give up! Keep on knocking, seeking, and asking! Keep on because God will answer you! Persist in prayer until He answers, for He is a prayer-answering God. Don’t stop asking until your joy is full. All power in Heaven and on earth belongs to God; He is the Maker of all things visible and invisible, and He is only waiting to hear from you. Remember the widow in Luke 18:1-8. You don’t have a right to know if there is no desire to ask.

O Lord, empower me to ask and seek You until I see Your promises fulfilled in every area of my life in Jesus’ Name.
