Lack No Good Thing

Psalm 34:10 (KJV)

The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.

Based on the anchored Scripture, David knew that even mighty, youthful lions may experience hunger. Nevertheless, he was resolute in his belief, having witnessed the hand of God in his life, that those who hold the Lord in reverence lack nothing. In contrast to fearless lions that still endure hunger, those who seek the Lord will not lack anything good. Those who earnestly seek God and the advancement of His Kingdom shall not lack any good thing. As we diligently pursue God, He bestows upon us His wisdom, fortitude, and divine safeguarding. Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” By making serving God and advancing His Kingdom our lifestyle, we gain unparalleled benefits and command over resources that others strive to obtain. This means that no institution, organization, or government can provide the same benefits as serving God. He has ownership over not just gold and silver but all things in Heaven and Earth.

Although God is a very present help in times of trouble, only those who seek Him will find Him. Seeking God involves pursuing Him wholeheartedly, prioritizing our relationship with Him above all else. When we do this, we align ourselves with His will and experience His blessings. It is written in Exodus 23:25-26, “And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.” Those who genuinely serve God are naturally free from all afflictions. When Moses was actively serving in the Kingdom, the Bible states that at the age of one hundred and twenty, his eyes were not dim, nor his natural strength diminished. Similarly, while serving with Jesus, the twelve disciples were not reported to have been sick. This suggests that active stewardship entitles us to health, vitality, and longevity, thus making us indestructible. 2 Chronicles 26:5 says, “And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.” As long as king Uzziah served the Lord, he prospered.

Beloved, seek God’s face from today if you don’t want to miss His Blessing. When you seek the Lord with all your heart and seek Him first, it places you in that secret, safe place in God, where you lack nothing. In the Kingdom of God, abundance reigns supreme. Therefore, confidently embrace a relationship with God built on unwavering trust and complete dependence. Separate yourself to spend time with God alone. For the duration of that period, let God be your only focus. Pour out your heart to Him and meditate on His word. Praise and worship Him in spirit and truth. The God of Heaven shall be your sufficiency in Jesus’ Name. Today, enter into a covenant to serve the interest of the Kingdom on the earth as a lifestyle, and your undeniable settlement will follow. The good Shepherd will ensure that you lack no good thing you need to live a fulfilled life. Trust in His plan, depend on His provision, and rest in His love. Remember, God’s ways are higher than yours, His timing is perfect, He sees your needs even before you do, and His love for you is unwavering, so seek Him with your all.

O Lord, as I seek You and Your Kingdom and its Righteousness, let me lack no good thing in Jesus’ Name!
