Numbers 10:35 (KJV)
And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, Lord, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee.
From the above verse, Moses confidently offers a prayer to God for the protection and guidance of the Israelites as they prepare to move the Ark of the Covenant to a new location. This prayer occurred after the Israelites had spent 13 months at Mount Sinai following their deliverance from Egypt. They were about to begin their journey to the Promised Land and faced fear and uncertainty regarding the formidable nations they would encounter. As they embarked on their march, they sought divine intervention to protect them from their enemies. Moses emphasized the indispensable nature of divine protection for the security and well-being of the Israelites. Psalm 68:1 says, “Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.” Let God Arise is a powerful invocation for divine assistance, intervention, and triumph over adversaries without engaging in conflict. It underscores the absolute sovereignty of God and His unmatched ability to overcome any form of opposition.
Seeking God’s Presence and Protection in our daily lives is crucial. When we invite God into our lives, we ask Him to take control and eliminate anything that opposes His will and purpose for us. His intervention brings an end to all forms of torment, and when He rises on our behalf, our problems will be overcome. By His power, our circumstances are changed, no matter how challenging. As God marches into battle, all obstacles are brought down. As children of God, we can draw inspiration from the ancient Israelites. They fervently cried “Arise O Lord” during their moments of trial. Similarly, as we navigate our own trials in the wilderness of life, we should seek God’s help and call upon Him to overcome the obstacles hindering our progress. Much like Moses prayed for God’s guidance and protection for the Israelites, we too can begin our day by asking for God’s presence, for the removal of any barriers or challenges we may encounter, and for His guidance along our journey. Psalm 118:7 says, “The Lord taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.” It is essential to acknowledge the presence of God to achieve genuine success and victory in life. Therefore, to conquer life’s challenges, it is imperative to relinquish reliance on our strength and abilities and allow God to contend on our behalf.
Beloved, each day is a new journey. Each situation propels you forward. Every morning invites you to move forward. Each night is a time to rest and rejuvenate. Completing a task is merely a brief pause in your ongoing journey. Let your progress be a continuous flow of prayers to God to arise. By worshiping and praising God, you can call upon His presence, and through that, He will come to you Himself to receive your adoration. No matter how daunting the circumstances or how formidable your adversaries are, the Lord will stand for you if you call upon Him with the assurance of triumph. Even during moments of peace, it’s crucial to stay vigilant and well-prepared, as the devil, resembling a prowling lion, is always primed to exploit any vulnerabilities. So, begin your day by seeking God’s presence, asking Him to clear any hurdles or difficulties that may come your way and to lead you along the right path. Be fervent for God’s kingdom. Focus all thoughts on Him. Aim for His increase. Let Him be magnified, exalted, glorified. Remember, in your daily walk, let God arise so that your enemies will scatter and those who hate you will flee before the Lord.
O Lord, arise and favor me in the battle that my enemies are waging against my life and destiny in Jesus’ Name.
