James 1:4(KJV)
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
The Message Bible writes “Don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed.” Patience is a fruit of the Spirit that only develops and grows under trial. It is needed if you will successfully journey through the wilderness of this world. The Bible is filled with examples of how God uses a long process to develop character. Joseph waited 4,745 days to become the Prime Minister. For 14,600 days Moses kept waiting and wondering in the wilderness. Know that when God wants to make a giant oak, the process takes a hundred years, but when He want to make a mushroom, He does it overnight. Great souls are grown through struggles and storms and seasons of suffering. Be patient with the process. God isn’t finished with you, so keep moving forward for even the snail and tortoise reached the ark by persevering!
There are choices before us when hard times come but the truth is no matter how big water yam is, it cannot do the work of a yam. In the same manner, no matter how flamboyant the alternative looks, it can never be as glorious as the plan of God for your life. Choosing to be angry, discouraged and to push others away isn’t the kind of endurance God wants to develop in us. Rather, God calls us to press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of Him in Christ Jesus. In most cases, it is in the season of trial that God’s plan and purpose are often realized but in this current generation no one wants to go through temptations, but without them, there is no perseverance. And without perseverance, there is no spiritual growth and the eternal reward that comes with it. No matter how long it takes, be patient with God for His plan and purpose for our lives will surely come to pass. James 5:7 says “Be patient, therefore, brothers,[a] until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains.”
Beloved, God wants us to continue in the course of action even in the face of difficulty. Never give up in life! Nothing is more essential to success in the Christian life than to carry on and keep your eyes on the goal of God’s glory. Let the joy of the Lord be your strength even in adversity. My dear friend know this, for every trial, hurt, difficulty in our life, you’re about to be blessed beyond measure in Jesus’ Name! In your waiting God makes you complete, so be patient and carry on in life. As your patience grows and develops, you will step into a life of great victory. You will become more experienced, more skilled, more valuable, wiser, stronger, better and more confident with every adversity you face and conquer. Be patient in the face of your delays, trials and challenges for you will come out as pure gold! Take a moment today to reflect on those that inspire you to remain steadfast in your trials and thank God for them.
O LORD, give me the strength I need to be patient and to carry on in Jesus’ Name.
