Jeremiah 5:22(KJV)
Fear ye not me? Saith the Lord: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?
From the above Scripture, the Lord, by a perpetual decree, made the shorelines contain the ocean waters; the waves roll, but they can’t sweep over it, or roar, but they can’t go across it. In other words, our God is a God of power who rules by decrees. The Bible says God spoke the seas and the heavens into existence. He decreed, and things came into existence. Psalm 148:5-6 says, “Let them praise the name of the LORD: For he commanded, and they were created. He hath also stablished them forever and ever: He hath made a decree which shall not pass.” It, therefore, follows that if God created man in His own image and after His likeness, man should also rule by decree. Genesis 1:28 gives an insight into the mandate of power that God gave after He created man: “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” God in creation designed His children to exist in perpetual dominion, victory, and triumph. His plan for us is to have power over every living thing, including the devil.
Decrees are authoritative orders or decisions that must be followed. They are uncompromising weapons of spiritual warfare. The truth is God does not confirm assumptions, but He confirms decrees. Unfortunately, instead of man created in God’s image ruling by decrees is now controlled by circumstances. But the great news is that God has given us the power through His Word to make positive declarations over every situation in our lives. Scripture says in Revelation 12:11 we overcome him by the Blood of Jesus and the word of our testimony. Once we become born again, we automatically become an heir to God’s Kingdom, having the Power of Attorney to exercise authority and gain dominion over the affairs of life. Job 22:28 says, “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” Our authority as children of God includes the power to decree things. Through this power, we are to take charge by enforcing the will of the Father on earth. We have the authority to forbid whatever contradicts our Father’s will in our health, family, business, job, community, and nation. The power of God working in us can make us what we want to be. When we issue a decree, the enemy trembles, evil works bow, and demonic spirits are in trouble.
Beloved, you have the authority to live a life of victory and to forbid and resist the devil. Decree a thing, and it shall come to pass if you believe. In this season, let your words align with God’s Word, then what you declare will be established. Live by decrees and dominion, and never allow yourself to become a victim of circumstance again. You are superior to satan, and he is ever ready to stand at your command. Whatever you decree today shall be established unto you. As you decree, Jehovah Jireh, the Lord, our Provider, will do exceedingly, abundantly above and beyond. Decree your breakthroughs, healings, increase, long life, and abundance. Never live in mediocrity any longer. Let God’s Word shine on your ways and direct your path toward the life of victory that God has promised. Next time you face any crisis or challenge, decree over that situation, and there will be a supernatural shift or change of story. Decree that God’s power destroys every spirit of household wickedness after your life in Jesus’ Name. Today, live in holiness and perfect obedience to the Word of God, and no demon can resist your decrees. Remember, you carry Heaven’s seal of approval, the power to decree and lose your blessings.
O Lord, let whatever I decree here on earth be established in Jesus’ Name.
