Living In The Fear Of God

Proverbs 19:23(KJV)

The fear of the Lord tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.

The fear of the Lord is defined as having reverence, respect, the right attitude, and perspective towards God. Our anchor Scripture clarifies that this fear brings life satisfaction and protects us from evil. It is not just a concept but a living reality we can experience.  The verse emphasizes the positive impact of reverence for God, leading to a fulfilling life and protection from harm. People with a spiritual connection have certain obligations to fulfill to achieve divine deliverance. One of these obligations is to live in reverence of God. The fear of God ensures and guarantees a person’s life, brings preservation and satisfaction, and establishes the righteous in safety. It serves as a safeguard and makes us impervious to harm. The fear of the Lord is the primary guiding principle in the life of any believer (Eccl. 12:13). This fear propels us to obey His statutes, keep His commandments, and put them into practice. As a result, we will dwell securely in the land, and God will instill fear in our enemies, deterring them from waging war against us. When we fear God, we find contentment and rest, even amidst life’s challenges.

Fearing God leads to a life of purpose, wisdom, and fulfillment. It’s not just about physical existence but rich, meaningful life. In Job 1:1, the Bible reveals that Job was a perfect and upright man; he feared God and eschewed evil, and because of this, God made a hedge of protection around him. When we demonstrate a reverent fear of the LORD, it protects against evil and establishes divine protection around our lives. Living in the fear of Him ensures our indestructibility. Our security is guaranteed, and we are immune to all sicknesses and diseases. For as long as our defense is unshakable, our defeat is impossible. By fearing the LORD, people avoid evil.” To hate evil is not to be comfortable anywhere evil is present or carried out. As far as God is concerned, if we are lovers of evil, then we do not fear Him. The absence of the fear of God makes many hurt others without feeling; a person who does not fear God exists without human feeling. The end result of such a lifestyle is destruction. In the absence of a profound sense of reverence for divine authority, individuals may act immorally and without remorse. The lack of fear of divine consequences can lead to dishonesty, deception, and exploitation in personal, professional, and business relationships. This deficiency in awe of a higher power can result in behaviors such as adultery, fornication, and theft.

Beloved, the fear of God is not negotiable, it is birthed in the place of fellowship with God. To fear the LORD is to deeply love Him, wholeheartedly worship Him, and steadfastly serve Him. Truly fearing God requires a profound understanding of who He is. Ultimate satisfaction is found in personally knowing God throughout eternity. Living in the fear of God and maintaining a healthy conscience guarantees safety and protection. When you revere the Lord, no evil can overpower you, and no disease can cut your life short. God becomes your ultimate defense. The fear of the Lord is not just a suggestion, but a commandment that we must obey. It’s not just a concept, but a lifestyle that we must embrace. It’s not just a choice, but a necessity for our spiritual well-being. The fear of the Lord is the foundation of our faith, the compass of our life, and the key to our success. Confess and turn from any life of sin and never take God’s Mercy for granted. Be a true Christian; be a Christian in words, appearance, and deed. Prioritize your relationship with God, and when you do, you experience a life that transcends circumstances, finding peace and purpose even in adversity. I prophesy your protection from every plot of the enemy and the Lord shall shield you and everyone connected to you in Jesus’ Name. The most fulfilling existence entails walking with God on earth and securing eternal life in Heaven. Remember, nothing finishes a person fast like the lack of fear or reverence for God.

O Lord, I ask that You impart Your fear upon my life and cleanse me from guilt or sin in Jesus’ Name.
