Loyal to the End!

1 John 2:19(MSG)
They left us, but they were never really with us. If they had been, they would have stuck it out with us, loyal to the end. In leaving, they showed their true colors, showed they never did belong.
From our anchored Scripture loyalty means being faithful to the end, being true to one’s word or being steady in allegiance. The loyalty of Christians today is undergoing severe tests, however in Jonathan, we find his true loyalty towards David, a friendship that was devoid of hypocrisy, selfishness, tribal or fraternal biases and not blinded by jealousy. Words spoken do not often portray the depth of commitment of the speaker until such words are put into action.
In our world today, many people lose many things, either out of carelessness or circumstances beyond their control. When a loved one, family or church member, friends or enemies in your life decides to walk away from you, let them walk. Action, they say, speaks louder than words. Your destiny is not tied to the person who left you. Let them go, because they are not joined to you, even if superglue them to you and they will still leave. It doesn’t mean they are bad people or enemies, it just means that their part of the story in your life is over. You’ve got to know when people’s part in your story is over, so that you don’t keep trying to raise the dead. Nothing just happens! If they walked away or left you, it is no accident, accept it as the will of God. Many have tried to raise a dead relationship and ended up in disaster.
Beloved, never try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, worshipping with you, caring about you or coming to see you, for even if you are successful in talking them to stay, it won’t last because they were never really with you. Don’t care about how wonderful they are or how attracted you are to them, just move on for all things work together for your good. Remember that whatever God wants you to have, He will give it to you, if it takes too much sweat then you don’t need it. STOP BEGGING PEOPLE WHO LEFT YOU TO STAY, LET THEM GO FOR GOD KNOWS BEST. Never waste your time in trying hard to make it work, give them a gift of goodbye. Depend only on God the Maker of Heaven and Earth for He will never leave or forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6 says “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
O LORD, help me not to waste my time and life on unfruitful relationships. Give me the understanding of the times in order to fulfil destiny in Jesus’ Name.
