Maintain Uprightness!

WELCOME TO THE MONTH OF APRIL, THE MONTH IS OPEN FOR YOU IN JESUS’ NAME!
Isaiah 33:14-15(ESV)
The sinners in Zion are afraid; trembling has seized the godless: “Who among us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who among us can dwell with everlasting burnings?” He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, who despises the gain of oppressions, who shakes his hands, lest they hold a bribe, who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed and shuts his eyes from looking on evil.
In our anchored Scripture, the Prophet Isaiah listed the requirements to enjoy constant fellowship with the Lord. It is confirmed from Scripture that the upright, who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, who refuse to profit by fraud, who stay far away from bribes, who refuse to listen to those who plot murder, who shut their eyes to all enticement to do wrong, have their place reserved in Heaven. It is important to know that we live in a generation where multitudes of people are running in the wrong direction, but Divine wisdom demands that we do not follow the multitude in the wrong direction and miss Heaven. Exodus 23:2 says “Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:” As citizens of Heaven, let us not be terrified into surrendering to the world’s beliefs. Let the whole world know that one with God is majority and resist the lie which says that because we are outnumbered, we have to join the world to perpetrate evil, especially those identified as being socially acceptable or politically correct.
Living a godly life is one of the non-negotiable qualities for success in life and destiny. Godly character is having our thoughts, words and actions to flow in line with the Word of God. When we take a stand for God even when we are alone and live according to His Standards without compromise, He is pleased with us! It is all that God desires from us. The lifestyle of godly character is a lifter of people. It is uprightness of life that lifted Abraham, Joseph, Samuel and Daniel and positioned them in the realm of relevance in their generation. Many desire to be the best but lack godly character, they lack integrity. It is written in Proverbs 11:3 “The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them.” Godly character of uprightness guides life and destiny. It assists the children of God to know the best way to go in life.
Beloved, as a Christian, you must make up your mind to stand out for God and speak against the ungodly work of darkness wherever you find yourself. Resist the temptation to live contrary to God’s Word. Every time you notice that you said something that is not true or you acted in ways that were not sincere, repent promptly. Never sleep over a lie or any other sin because no one knows when Jesus will come. Insist on the truth at all cost even in the face of a hostile majority with the full understanding that with God, you are in the majority. Today, make up your mind to be upright in all your ways in order to end right up. Whenever you are confronted with situations or challenges of life and there is a need to make a choice, it is important that you stand for the truth and with God. It doesn’t make logical sense, but when you are dealing with God, He is too big for you to understand with your little brain. Receive the grace from God to maintain upright character in Jesus’ Name. Remember, the profits of uprightness far outweigh any gain of iniquity, make the choice to stand for God.
O Lord, help me to focus on the things that really matter in life and remove every distraction from my life in Jesus’ Name.
