Joshua 3:13(AMP)
When the soles of the feet of the priests who carry the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth, [come to] rest in the waters of the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan flowing down from above will be cut off, and they will stand in one mass [of water].”
In our Bible verse for today, we discover when God directed Joshua on what to do for the river Jordan to part for the children of Israel to match through on dry ground. Divine direction is the direction that comes from God through the leading of the Spirit and it is knowing what to do in order to leave where we are. Divine Direction and consistency are keys to maximum impact in every endeavor in life. When progress is made in the right direction consistently, destiny is fulfilled.
The Scripture says, immediately the soles of the feet of the priests rest upon the river Jordan that the water dried and the people walked on dry land. God instructed them to go forward and when they did, the river Jordan parted for them to go through. They could have sat back and thought, “As soon as God opens it, then we’ll walk toward it. It doesn’t make sense to go now. The river is still flowing. Everything is normal. Nothing is unusual.” No, they took a step of faith and started walking toward the water. The lesson is that, if the priests had not dipped their feet in the water, the water won’t have parted. In the same way, if we are going to make it to our Promised Land, it’s going to take this bold obedience. We are not always going to understand what God is doing. God is not always logical. Faith is not in your head; faith is in your heart. We have got to turn our minds off and listen to what God is saying to us. God is willing to help us, but we must be will to take step towards what we are believing the Creator for.
The challenge today is that many people have come to think or conclude that their present circumstance is the end of the road. However, a curve on the road is not the end of the road. It is possible that you messed up, failed or made mistakes, and as a result, a major door got closed against you, move forward for there are other doors in front of you. Let not failure or mistakes stop you for the downfall of a man is not the end of his life. You can still make it if you MOVE ON. No matter what you are experiencing now, be rest assured that better days are ahead of you. Don’t allow your life’s journey to be arrested because you encountered a defeat or a setback. Whatever you are called to do, or whatever you are already doing, Go Forward and see the Salvation of God. You are crossing to your better days, because faithful is He that promised. Be assured in your heart that God will not allow your present predicament to drown you, because He knows that His Intervention will definitely bring Glory to His Name. No matter how successful you are, there is still something in front that God wants you to achieve. Fear of the unknown has held many down and killed their glorious destinies. Rise up now, break the ice and every other things will fall in place.
Beloved, if you want to reach where God wants you to reach, you must keep making moves, taking steps, changing positions; you must keep on keeping on, making sure that at least every single day of your life, you move forward in the right direction. Every single day, you must learn something you never knew before and take an action you have never taken before. Make up your mind not to take any step outside Divine Direction or Guidance and take the right decisions promptly. Conquer anything that makes you to be undecided in life and move forward by taking the right decision. Your decision determines your destiny. You have been justified by the blood of Jesus for consistent progress. Take a step of faith. Get your feet wet and move forward into the blessing and victory He has in store for you! Keep moving! Remember, progress only happens when steps are taken and destination is only achieved by the taking of steps forward.
O Lord, thank You for granting me the Spirit of boldness to walk towards my promised land in Jesus Name.
